#0087 usually depends on who is in said group. If I'm with rpers I have been friends with for a while, or rping with after a certain time, I may be down to do an established connection. Otherwise, I prefer meeting from the start because I don't have to worry about one or both of our muses doing a whole 180 and having to find someone else to do the connection with. The only other exception is if it is a connection or plot I have done before

I think if you do proper research, than most dark plots are fine. Personally, I'd rather write the darker stuff privately on discord so people don't have to encounter it on the dash, but if it is played on the dash please put read mores and as many tws that are appropriate. (some stuff I rp really shouldn't be considered "dark" though, like mental illness and addiction, because I feel like that adds to the stigma.)

i draw the line in r*pe plots, but i think that any (other) topic can be a plot device considering you've done proper research and you know your partner is 100% on board as well

#0088 "dark plots" shouldn't be a catch-all term for plots that include any morbid details. Some are relatively tame (hauntings, etc.), while some are outright problematic. Conversations like this need a bit more nuance.

I absolutely love dark plots, the darker the better lmao. I think its cause I'm just naturally better at coming up with darker ideas. But ik some people can't handle them, so its not for everyone

#0087 it varies for me. it depends on the group setting.

i prefer everyone meeting at the start. i prefer making connections based off chemistry rather than preplotting. plus everyone meeting at the start is usually feels more inclusive

I love established connections when I have a good idea and the other mun is showing just as much effort while plotting

the rpc doesn’t know what doxing is. how is it doxing if you put the information out there / gave certain people the information yourself?

rant incoming: i've been thinking about this one mun who has gone through at least 5 different aliases in the past 2-3 years to re-join the same rp group they've been repeatedly asked to leave, has lied about their identity even when asked directly, and is now bringing their squad of 2-3 friends into the group as backup. thinking about how shady & disrespectful & rude you have to be to continually lie your way into a space you're very clearly not welcome. yes i'm angry

what is on my mind about the rpc this week? too many people hide behind call outs to personally attack others. it's scary, it isn't funny, and though they may have done things wrong - it doesn't give anyone the right to bully or threaten. you don't know someone's mental health, so please remember rp is a hobby, not your life. be kind.

i hate the rpc, everything gets blown out of proportion. If you do one thing, its not enough if you do another they say its false advertising. if you feel uncomfy about something that has been normalized or the masses agree with you cant comment on it without people coming for your throat. the rpc is full of hypocritical aholes that get off on harassing others and putting themselves on a pedestal.
