Kars - Steel Ball Run

A sideshow performer who originates from Mesoamerica, born a few hundred years before 1890. Unfortunately, his peaceful tribe was largely wiped out by invaders from beyond the sea who brought violence and illness along with them.

Kars’ people told stories of cursed waters that would strip one of their mortality, cursing them to live for an eternity. This is the Fountain of Youth that foreigners sought after, yet never found. Anybody who is found to have altered themselves with the water is to be banished from the tribe. Already a deviant from the others, Kars, a man who sought to change their dated traditions, rebelled against the law and obtained virtual immortality by bathing in the waters. He, along with a band of other misfits who had followed suit, were exiled from the tribe. While the waters allow him to never age and gave him an enhanced healing factor (a broken bone may take as short as a week to heal), Kars is still subject to dying of fatal injuries.
