Superman (2018) #30

I'm not particularly interested in the ship, to be honest. I'm not super familiar with Eddie--it's been ages since I read TT03--, so I'm just judging this by how they've been written together in New Titans so far. It's very trope-y, the bad boy and the goody-two-shoes, and the only thing between them causing friction being their attitudes doesn't grab me in the face of JayJon, where the friction was ideological and very real.

So if JonEddie were to get together, I'd only really be interested in it in a rebound way. In a Jon just wants to get his mind off things and Eddie's hot way. This isn't good and they aren't good for each other and maybe they're even aware of it. But that wouldn't be super fair to Eddie's character since it's be very centered on Jon.

Last week's character highlight this week because I forgot to schedule it: NATASHA IRONS, a.k.a STEEL II. She is the niece of John Henry Irons, the first Steel, and like him a member of the Superfamily. She's a lesbian who first dated another woman (Traci 13) in Superwoman (2016), which I'm reading right now, though I'm still primarily familiar with her from Steel (1994), where she was originally introduced. Here's a reading list for her Post-Crisis. For later appearances I suggest checking out Superwoman (2016), the Warworld Saga and Steelworks off the top of my head.
