This scene is the one that made me love Evergreen unconditionally. This moment gives her more depth and shows that she cares for others aside of the thunder legion. She always hides behind this haughtiness and this overconfident attitude but actually she has more insecurities than everyone might think. Evergreen is definitely the one who gets jealous easily. As crazy as it may sound, I do think that it is a lack of self-confidence in her ability to maintain good relationships.

Evergreen and Laxus relationship is very special. Evergreen and the raijinshuu have that brother/sister relationship. But what I like about Evergreen and Laxus, is that she can be that close to him and also be the one teasing him without having that harsh demeanor of Laxus coming. Their bond is particular and I believe that Evergreen showing so much display of emotions is always for the people she cares the most. Also I believe that Laxus would be the first one kicking someone's ass if they hurt Evergreen physically or worst emotionally.
