I started my new job today (back on that commute grind) and I was fairly early and there’s a park right next to my job. So I’m chilling on the bench and kicking the snow and out of the middle of nowhere there’s noodles underneath the snow. Not the weirdest thing I have encountered but still mildly strange. After a few minutes go by a bunch of pigeons came over and started eating some of the noodles. They were obviously excited they found food so they stayed there for a while. A guy runs up towards the bench I’m sitting at and screams “hello birdies” and they all scatter around trying to fly away from this crazy ass guy. Once they all leave he looks at me and informs me that he is the pigeon king at this park and that they love him. He walked away and left.

Walked by Auntie Anne’s today by myself after the mall was closed. Accidentally made eye contact with the guy working there and he shouted “yo girl you just made my soft pretzel hard.” Safe to say I’m done with human interaction for this week.

There is this guy on the bus who calls himself Jeff. Jeff narrates the entire bus ride in third person. Today was the only day I have been on the bus with Jeff where someone has told him to shut up. Jeff sighed and then said “Jeff dramatically looks out of the window while sighing. Jeff just couldn’t understand why people had to be so rude.” The person who told him to shut up now looks like he is going to cry out of frustration.

An older woman came into the store I work at today and asked if there were any coupons that I knew of. I asked if she had her phone on her and she said yeah but it's not one of those ones with the internet on it, it's practically a fossil. I told her that her phone didn't need internet and that it was a text coupon and I was happy to get it for her. She hands me her phone and it was one of those super old flip phones from verizon that I'm pretty sure everyone had when I was in 7th grade. someone named Isabel has been giving out my phone number as her own. Since Saturday I have had two different male government officials and three angry congress women from Arizona call looking for Isabel. I'm not sure who she is but she seems to be pissing a lot of people off and I approve of that.
