When I was younger, the smell of Aramis cologne usually filled the room prior to him leaving for work. He valued differences and this was his smell.

The brands he valued were, like others, the norm of society. Montblanc pen to sign his papers. Some what expensive watches. Brands like Cartier were mentioned.

As he is now approaching 70. He wears tattered T-shirts. Shorts. Nothing fancy. He used old free hats. No watches. Simple shoes. No dress up. Just doing what he loves. Gardening.

Maybe my dad is a bit extreme. Maybe time taught him that none of that matters. Maybe the fact that we went through hard times rewind his thinking. Nevertheless, it is a good lesson for me.

No one cares. You do you. If u need to be with society, ok dress up some. It’s fine. But in the end, it does not matter.

Society is a bitch. Makes us stretch. Engrain us with irrelevant shit which one day would just be sitting on a shelf.

What do u want to do?

Would u care so much about money knowing that you have a time limit?

Would u extend your way to find more money?

Or would u spend time doing stuff you want to do?

Would u get mad at the little things knowing it would be completely insignificant after 20 years?

Would u get jealous at how other people is seemingly doing better than you?

Would u compare?

Or would u just go on your way to do the things you want

Go where you want

Eat what you want knowing that u have limited time

Would you spend more time with loved ones?

Would you play with your dogs more?

Would you try different hobbies?

Would you spend time with people you don’t like? Those you are not chemically compatible with?

Or would u surround yourself with people who will bring you smiles and good times?

Would you do more of what makes you feel good? Or get bogged down by the world’s demand?

When you know time is limited…

I'm allergic to the cold. I get a cold.

The solution to this is to contain my sniffles in a face mask.
