Which court is he from? Which version of the king did he serve? What tales and histories of him are the correct ones?

All of them and none of them all at once.

He knows every knight, king, queen, and Merlin. Though what version of him they know is entirely dependent upon who they see him as. The knight who was lost to madness when his wife was taken? The joke of the court that is mocked and belittled at the amusement of all? The kind hearted knight that wept and plead for the safety of his brothers in arms? A simple jester who paraded around the court wearing the favor of the king like a badge of pride? Every version of him that could possibly exist has come together within this one form that is as fluid with his memories as the madness allows. He exists all at once and thank goodness his mind is already cracked otherwise he’d be shattered from the weight of all those versions.
