Question. Has anyone tried to decorate a tree with a toddler in the house? Last year was find because she would just lie there and giggle at the trees but now she wants to ‘help’ which is basically her taking all of the ornaments off the bottom of the tree and hiding them around the house. I think I might have to wait till she is back in bed before I get to properly decorate, otherwise I will be left with nothing on the tree. Also, no shame here with how quickly I am putting up a tree, I love it so much. Please say I am not alone in the early decorating? @hfrpstarters​

Yeah, and can I say? It’s pretty much a shit show every single time. Literally, no matter what you do or how carefully you try to plan shit so it’ll be out of their reach, they will find it, they will pull on the cords, and they will ruin all your hard work. That being said, I’m not discouraging it, it’s a lot of fun and will make for great storytelling later on. It’s like having a cat except the cat has two legs and is somehow way more able to destroy all your hard work. That being said, I’m really proud of your perseverance in putting up the tree anyways, you’re so brave. 

i’ll only take a quarter of that responsibility, some has to go to mike, tre and you. i mean i’m a band no a solo and you listened to us, you had to bring our music into your life. how dare you, frank. wait, how bad is it? also.. i guess if you’re struggling, i’ll take a third of the responsibility, but tre and mike are still apart of it.

Wow, are you implying that it’s my fault for passing along the taste in punk music to my kids and them ending up wanting to rebel?! Just wow. You know I hate taking responsibility for my own actions. Fine, we’re splitting it four ways though. Since Tre and Mike are not aware of this conversation, I’d say we could easily saddle them with 75% of the blame collectively, though. 

Otto: Yeah, Mikey comes up to us like he's our biggest fan and it's really funny sometimes.

Otto: If you go full dad mode and try to embarrass me, I'm not gonna stop you. I'll probably laugh uncontrollably until I cry and turn red.

Frank: He *talks* about you in the group chat like he's your biggest fan. See, I've always been My Chem's biggest fan, but Mikey would literally leave us if you guys (or Midtown for that matter) asked him.

Since being on tour, I feel like I’ve been eating so many new things, also the weather change, we’ve gone to cold spots then warm spots, we did Texas and now we are headed to Atlanta, GA to do two shows, then Newark, NJ. Also did I mention that we’ll be going to Canada for the first time ever December 2nd, I’m so excited about that. Anyways how has your week been?? Damn, you really got to see pretty much every section of America. I hope the trip and the food was good. What was your favorite place to visit? I hope it’s Jersey, but I’m biased. I hope you enjoy Canada, definitely bundle up for that one though. My week has been much less eventful than yours I think, just playing a handful of shows in the northeast before I call it quits for the rest of the year. Nice to meet you, I’m Frank.

with one of your bands? ‘ow many bands 'ave you got? now that is a question i feel as if i should ask!! this is exactly what i’m getting at - even though you do still talk t’ them via social media and on your phone, it’s not t’ same from what ye’ used t’ be. or something you’ve literally grown up with even though it’s not been a year yet it feels like it’s been longer? does that make sense? you’re not wrong, it 'as been nice t’ finally be able t’ spend time wit’ family and stuff you know wit'out 'avin t’ count t’ days you 'ave t’ go back int’ t’ studio. tell me what did you learn about yourself? i’m interested in finding this out, i’m still yet learning. i’m firm believe in never say never, but it was nice when it ended and t’ tour we did specially for the fans t’ say goodbye t’ us. did you ever emtional talking about mcr ending?

I can’t blame you, it’s a fair question. The answer is way too many, although a few of them are no longer active so as of right now it’s like...four. I just kind of go a little crazy when I’m not playing music, to be honest with you. Yeah, it’s definitely different. You spend however many years living and working with people, and then all of a sudden you’re basically just sending memes in the group chat. It’s a weird feeling! Definitely, it’s nice to spend time with your family and such without feeling like you’re going to be pulled away super fast. I think I learned a lot about myself — I mean, I started out in My Chem when I was really young, I was twenty. So after ten years or so of that I just kind of had to step back and figure out how I felt and who I was without that behind me. It’s scary, kind of. But it’s also really freeing, and it gave me time to start writing and recording my own music, which I had never really done before by myself. I think that’s great then, if you feel like you did an amazing goodbye for the fans and for yourselves, that’s all that really matters. Oh, definitely, it took me forever to be able to talk about it without getting weird. It’s like a breakup in a weird way, isn’t it? Like, this huge chunk of your life that suddenly you’re learning how to live without, if that’s not too dramatic. 

ye’ know t’ one thing that i seriously hate about not being on t’ road again wit’ me gals? is being wit’ them basically twenty four seven, sometimes i hate the fact that we’ve gone on a hiatus but ten years t’gether is jus’ something else isn’t it? tell me what is t’ one thing you in your life you wish that never ended? whether that is a tv series and fookin’ hell i have many of those too. hiya i’m jade and i swear i’m loosing mind and missing tour so much. // @hfrpstarters​

Okay, I’m feeling this in a lot of ways right now. Just finished up tour with one of my bands and despite us being in a group chat that texts each other nearly constantly, I’m still missing them. It’s so weird. It’s always going to feel weird to take a break from something you’ve been a part of for what feels like forever, that’s absolutely true. But in all honesty, the time to yourself is hopefully going to end up feeling like a gift. For me, I quite literally did not know what to do with myself when MCR took a break, but it ended up giving me a lot of time to learn new things about myself, and I think the other guys felt that way as well. So I like to think a hiatus doesn’t mean the end of a chapter, just a break so things can be better later, you know? 

A complete rockstar? Oh, no no no. Who misinformed you? I’m nothing of the sort and can’t even compare to your rockstar lifestyle. I am going on tour though! Come next year which is!! Fuck, I don’t even have words I’m just giddy about it and I do a little shoulder dance whenever someone mentions it. Does that mean you’ll come? Because I can make it happen. Whatever show you want to come to! I can give you all the tickets you need. I’m good, really freakin’ good and all the more excited now that you said you’d come. How about you? How’s tour life been?

No way, don’t even try and pull that bullshit on me. You’re a rockstar and anybody who tries to tell you otherwise, yourself included, is a loser! If it helps, the rockstar lifestyle these days isn’t all it’s cracked up to be — mostly me complaining about how bad my back hurts and missing my kids. Speaking of, I will definitely be at one of your shows next year, and I’m definitely bringing my kids since you’re basically their favorite person. Stranger Things has been on a loop since spooky season for them, I’m told, so I’m basically about to be their hero when I tell them I actually know you. I’m glad you’re getting excited about it! MCR tour was amazing, finally wrapped up for the year and I’m finishing up some shows with my other band before I go home, but it’s been really great. Definitely can’t wait to be home with my dogs and kids, though. What about you? How’s everything?
