Day 50 - My last (boring) day
This was my last day here :D It was as boring as the most boring day I had here :D But I don't mind, I needed that time to chill out and focus on the things that are ahead. After returning to Greece I'm gonna look for a job and become a little bit more strict with my exercise and nutrition. Also I want to read even more books.
So today all I did was eat (kefir, nuts and spinach with sausages, cheese and smantana) and watch soccer and league of legends. I wanted to go again downtown but then it started raining, quite heavily. So I said fuck it, I'm made of sugar anyway I don't wanna melt!
Eman and Berfin asked me to write something in their diaries about them, so I did. I will miss lots of the stuff here, but I'll maybe make another post about this... So that's all for an awesome adventure that lasted 7 weeks! Thanks to everyone who helped make this unforgettable! I'm gonna miss you all!
xoxo,
d1af

Do you hate people? I don't hate them...I just feel better when they're not around.

Day 49 – Closing ceremony
And since today the ReBranders program is officially over! That was quite a journey! Those past 7 weeks I learned a lot about myself mostly. I got better as a person, because the more life experiences you gather, the more your personality evolves. For these 7 weeks the people at the house have become my family. Like in every family there has been lots of love and some fight. Some people I will remember and miss fondly and some I didn't get along with at all. But this happens in such big families I guess. One thing that never changed is that we all cared about each other in one way or another. I'm gonna miss that too.
Sooo the day started at 7 AM for me. That was my last day at the gym here... Well I'm not gonna miss this at all, the gym I go to in Greece is way better, cheaper and closer to home. I did some shoulders and arms workout today. When I get back to Greece I'm gonna schedule my workouts and nutrition a bit more precisely, but I gotta say that my time were was well spent, concerning the gym department. At home I made some spinach – turkey – cottage cheese – sauerkraut sandwiches. Also the usual kefir and cereal :D Dude why I didn't think of those sandwiches earlier :P
After the meal I chilled on the couch. The usual again. Music, League of Legends and YouTube videos. At around 2 I made a HUGE decision. I took a bath! Hahahaha! Truth is I'm always bored to take a bath, when I get back to Greece I'll take a bath after gym, before eating. At around 4:30 we left the house to attend the closing ceremony of ReBranders. Everyone who hasn't left Bucharest yet was at the pub. Some of the AIESEC people were there and some ReBranders partners too. The presentation started, it was boring :D Anand spoke briefly about our experience here, I gotta say his speech was quite good and emotional :D I'm gonna miss Anand he was always showing love to everyone. After that we got some certificates, some more boring talks and blah blah blah the ceremony ended. There were no free drinks or foods. I would have loved some free coke zero but whatever.
As soon as I could I left the ceremony to take a walk with Alina. Alina is the coolest girl I met in Bucharest. She reminds me of a girl from Bukowski's stories. So fun and carefree. She also has a cool taste in music, she listens to hip-hop, reggae, some jazz and other chill stuff. We walked from Dorobanti to Aviatorilor, two of the most beautiful streets in downtown Bucharest. I wish I knew about this side of the town in my first weeks here, I would have visited more often. Lots of beautiful buildings, I know Bucharest is called Little Paris, which is quite an exaggeration, but this area is indeed nice. So that's all for the day! Cya soon you mofos in Greece! 2 days #d1afback

Day 48 – Goodbye Alan :'(
This is the saddest good bye! My best friend in Romania left today! That's Alan from Taiwan. I'm gonna miss the two of us exploring Bucharest. I'm gonna miss his positivity and happiness and all the jokes we made! I'm pretty sure if he was in Greece he would fit perfectly with my current group of male friends. We would hang out, watch sports and make fun of each other :D I'm gonna miss him trying every desert there was. I'm gonna miss him making me oolong tea. Before he left he gave me a good luck thing to hang in my room, and I will as soon as I get back to Greece!
I woke up at 9:00 AM today. I went to the super market first thing in the morning cause I was hungry since last night! I got sausages, spinach, cheese and smantana for my usual breakfast when I'm not going to the gym. I also got Alan an ice cream, because he loves them. I got him a Nirvana chocolate, because we have them in Greece too and I know he was gonna love it.
Other that eating I did NOTHING all day, cause I didn't feel like going out in the fucking heat. I listened to music, read a lil bit, watched some hannibal and some league of legends. I also napped a bit! Alan wouldn't go out today because he had to leave house at 4 AM to catch his flight. So when I got sleepy and wanted to go to bed I said goodbye to him! It was so emotional, I will really really really gonna miss him! But I'm sure he will visit me in Greece some time! Hopefully next summer we will spent lots of time walking around Athens, partying and him eating EVERYTHING Greek and drinking beers! So that's all for today...
See you soon Alan, d1af

Day 47 – Am I gonna miss this?
That's a bold question... Am I gonna miss this city? Maybe, it's a nice city, when you get downtown. It's a mix of Thessaloniki and Athens. Girls are pretty and prices are low (for eating, not girls :P). I am not gonna miss for sure the house that I'm staying. It's super bad, needs lots of fixing. Also people can't clean up after themselves. I find myself cleaning their stuff, cause if I don't I won't be able to live. What I'm gonna miss for sure is all the people I met here. The people at the house and a couple of Romanian girls. All of the people I met, save for a couple of exceptions, were people I would gladly hangout with everyday. I'm gonna miss the Asians being crazy and trying stuff for the first time. I'm gonna miss Marta, Eman, Clemence and Sibelle. They are smart girls and I liked talking to them about EVERYTHING.
Anyways enough with the emo shit! The day started early as fucking usual. I went to the gym for a back workout. I am a beast btw, some of my lifts are better than what they were in Greece! On the way back I stopped at Mega Image, as usual. At home I ate kefir and cereal. I also made two sandwiches with turkey, cottage cheese and spinach! Man that was delicious, compared to the cereal and milk I had every other time! I wish I had thought of this earlier, now I'm gonna eat this again on Friday. After that I chilled on my laptop, along with a Coke Zero xD I listened to music, browsed reddit and watched some League of Legends.
I was getting kinda bored so I started reading again my favorite book, The New Psycho-Cybernetics. It's a self-help book, it deals mostly with the self-image and I would recommend it to anyone. At around 6:00 PM I took a bath and came back to reading my book. At around 8:30 me, Dimitris, Sibelle, Marta, Eman and Melissa left the house to go to a restaurant. I would not eat anything but I wanted to go out and be a bit social. We took the bus to Piata Romana and we sat at The Harbour. It's a cool restaurant, with a navy theme (waiters are dressed as sailors), but a bit pricey, compared to other places in Bucharest. After that we went to Control club, where Alan joined us. I wanted to go to that place. It's nice, people there are a pretty crowd and music was nice. But it was packed! So we just went to Oktoberfest for a beer and then get home cause most of us were sleepy anyways.
I enjoyed much the time with Alan, Dimitris, Marta, Sibelle and Eman. We always talk about various stuff and get to know a bit more of each other. I love this feeling. Sooo after an hour or so at Oktoberfest we grabbed taxis and got home. I slept almost immediately. Oh and btw 4 days #d1afback bitcheees!

Day 46 – Goodbyeee Asians!
Today was the day all of the Asians, other than Alan, left the house! It was emotional I gotta admit that :'( They are all great people and I will miss them and I've invited them to come to Greece anytime they want!
So the day started at around 9:00 PM. I had a perfect breakfast, kefir with nuts and spinach with sausages, cheese and smantana. It was fucking tasty and filling! After that I chilled a bit on the laptop and got a 2.5 litre Coke Zero to drink :D Coke makes meee happyyyyyyyyyyyyy! I took a bath then and at around 2:00 PM I left with Marta for downtown. We went to Caru cu Bere, that fancy restaurant I've been twice, where Dimitris, Sibelle, Alan, Ruby, Florence and Eman were already. Everyone was so happy about their food there. I waited for everyone to finish eating and then left with Alan for a walk.
Today we went to Cismigiu gardens, a park close to downtown. It's a smaller park, compared to the others I've been but it was still beautiful, with a lake in the middle and a restaurant right next to the lake. We walked a lot there and then we headed to Piata Romana. Piata Romana is one of the most beautiful places in Bucharest, lots of stores, buildings with nice architecture and generally you get the feeling of safety that we don't get when we are at Rahova. I made Alan taste Baklava at a turkish place! He is always down for a dessert haha! We then grabbed the bus to return back to Rahova mansion.
Once we got home we found Beavis and Jack packing their stuff. They were leaving with the 5 AM train to Budapest, and when they return I won't be here. So it's our last night :D At around 10 PM they had bought enough alcohol for everyone to start playing drinking games. I didn't join them, because I don't drink, but I watched them scream and drink haha! It was funny! I also watched some Champions League soccer. At around 12-1 PM they took taxis to go drink downtown. I didn't join them but I said goodbye to them here! I'm gonna miss you Florence, Ruby, Jack and Beavis! So that's all for today! Cya soon! 5 days #d1afback

Morning #selfie! The asians were so noisy last but still love them <3
Day 45 – At the mall with the Asians
Hahaha the title sounds so racist :P Today I decided to go to the AFI mall, cause everyone loves it and the only time I've been there the electricity went off xD
But first things first. And first thing in the morning I went to the gym. When I got there it was completely empty :D This made me extremely happy, I could work out at my own pace and not have to share any equipment (I don't like to share food also :P). Today was chest day, everything went smooth. I always get a sore chest the next day so I guess it works :P On the way back I picked up some cereal, kefir and a weird yogurt looking stuff called sana. Somebody recommended this to me. If I find that somebody again I will hit him :P It was really sour and was fucking disgusting. I had to eat it though cause I was fucking hungry (thank god for cinnamon, it made it taste a bit better).
After that soul shaping experience I took a bath and chilled a bit at the laptop (music, videos, you know the usual). At around 2 PM I left for downtown to meet Alan. Thankfully this day was not as hot as the usual Bucharest day. I met Alan at the Subway restaurant and then we went to meet Jack, Beavis, Florence and Ruby (all of them are Asians) at another restaurant. The Asians, other than Alan, leave on Wednesday early morning so that was one of their last days in Bucharest. They are all lovely in their own way and I wanted to spent some time with them. I went with the to AFI mall, the second largest in Bucharest. They have been there 5 or 6 times, so I guess they must enjoy it quite a lot.
There are lots of stores in there, which me and Alan started visiting the one after the other. Thing is I bought last week lots of clothes so I don't need anything, unless I find something extraordinary (like that Coca-Cola tank top from Bershka that I have been searching for days). After an hour of shopping we met Jack and went with him to grab a salad. Dude this guy eats SOOOOOOOOOOO SLOW! It took him at least 45 minutes to eat a ceasars... Jesussss I got so bored :P After that we wandered the mall a lil bit more. We found nothing, so we decided to go to the super market there. Alan always buys sweets, he is like a little kid :D! I bought a freezer bag and a box of ROM chocolates (that's 50 of them). I'm bringing those back to Greece, cause this is the best thing I found in Romania to bring back haha!
We then took the bus to return to the Rahova Mansion. I was tired because of walking and the morning workout, so I just chilled at home. I just watched some soccer (Burnley vs Chelsea, dude Fabregas and Costa look like the players they have been missing last year. It saddens me, being a Liverpool fan, but they will probably win the league). At around 11 PM the Asians started playing card games and drinking. It's so funny when they get drunk, they turn red and start talking even faster hahah :D I was tired so I asked them to leave so that I could sleep (I sleep in the living room) and they did. So that's all for the day niggas! Cya soon (6 days #d1afback)!

Day 44 - Boring Sunday
Well that's the kind of Sundays I need sometimes! Just chill out and do NOTHING! I mean NOTHING! Just surf the net, listen to music and watch sports! Well I actually did something, but not much! I did underwear laundry and it's the last FUCKING TIME I'm doing laundry in Romania! FUCK YEAH!
Then I went to the super market to get some food and a 2.5 litre coke! I ate some kefir with nuts and some spinach with sausages, cheese and smantana (their kind of sour cream, fucking tasty)! The meal was good :D After that I drunk some tea that Alan had made for me the other day and waited for my coke to get frozen in the freezer. It takes about 3 hours to get that perfect feeling of cold coke with a little ice formed in the bottle! Man I live for this shit!
At around 3:30 PM I watched Liverpool play their opening game for the season. Game went ok, the team won 2-1, that's all that matters! After that I watched League of Legends European final where my least hated team won (Alliance beat Fnatic 3-1). Then I watched Manchester City beat Newcastle. Wow that was a nice fucking day! I did nothing :D So that's all for the day, there are more details but I\m too bored to share :D xDxD
xoxo, d1af
Day 43 – Soooo muuuuuuch waaaaaaaaaaaaaalking!
8 more days till the return of da king! #d1afback bitches! Today I woke up early as usual, had some breakfast (kefir and nuts) and chilled until everyone woke up! People were late from the club last night so it would take soome time for then to get off bed. I listened to music, as usual. The playlist for today was ghostface killah, as I'm getting ready for next week live. I also watched the Korean League of Legends finals.
At around 2:00 PM Alan woke up. He got ready and we left for park. I've been to the park before, but this time I wanted to see the Village Museum. We arrived at Herastrau at around 3:30-4. We walked through the park. I found a Michael Jackson monument there, which is quite funny. In the 90s Jackson was one of the first major stars to come to Bucharest, after the fall of Communism. He addressed the crowds from the main balcony at the House of the People. Crowds were gathered under the balcony. But he came out and his first words were “Hello BUDAPEST!” Haha that's a major major fuck up, so I wonder why the monument! Anyways! 20 or more walking minutes and we found our selves at the Village Museum. The price was 10 lei but I convinced the cashier I am a student and paid only 2.5 lei haha xD.
The Village Museum consists of 200 traditional Romanian houses, ranging from the 18th to the 20th century. They were moved there for people to see. It feels like a tour around rural Romania, without leaving Bucharest. We saw households, vineyards, mills and other stuff. Most of the stuff looked like the same inside but there were some differences on the outside (different types of roof for example). After 2 hours or so we managed to see it all. So we headed to the nearby mall, Promenade.
We walked half an hour and took a bus to get to the mall, so it wasn't that nearby. But it was worth it. It's probably the most beautiful mall in Bucharest. At the top there is a garden with fountain and grass where you can sit and relax. Me and Alan had some pork and a salad. The porc was sooo well made, not as good as sex, but quite close! After the meal I grabbed a coke and we wandered the stores, but I didn't buy anything, since I had done most of my shopping. At around 9 we grabbed the metro to return home. We got to Unirii and from there we got on the tram to get home.
Some of our people were going out for drinks and stuff but I felt tired to join them. So I just chilled at home, along with others. Chris was leaving the next day so she asked me to write something on her diary :D Other than that I watched some soccer highlights (Man Utd lost to Swansea hahahahha) and went to bed! That's all for a nice Saturday!
