first off, the story isn’t bad. it’s not a masterpiece of the modern man, but it’s pretty good and has expectable tropes and themes from what is, presumably, a teenage author. the drawings are nice, you can really see what type of character the author was aiming for just based on the shapes. that’s always a plus.

now, I understand these are topics that need to be talked about because they are serious as cancer, but it really speaks to the author’s age to have every “TW” and “CW” under the sun thrown into one story. grooming? sure. assassins? why not. sexual assault? yeah why not. stillborns, abusive ex and current partners, age gap, “doomed yuri” for the hell of it, because nothing is more appealing than two characters of the same sex having a very complicated and painful relationship, or even die, who cares. again, I’m sure the author is young, and the tiktok and insta clapping seal audience hollering about “symbolism!!!!” and “dark topics!!!!!” in the comments, which yeah, there’s symbolism, every triggering topic is packed neatly into a form that’s visually appeasing and softens the blow of seeing a teenage minor get abused and taken advantage of for the sixtieth time.

overall, not the worst story. but not even remotely good. thinking about it for more than a minute makes my eyebrows raise and thinking about it for more than five makes me click that unfollow button so that every post I see of it is strictly against my will.
