I haven't had a lot of spare time over the last few years to put to art, but believe me, I still love the EU. Been piecing together (very very slowly) a fanfiction for it as well that I'll post maybe one day when it's done (125k words so far :U) . Eventually when I have some more time I do want to make art for it again.

I don’t! This was the first platform I ever used to post art. Then back at the end of 2018ish life I got a new job/living space/set of preoccupations and I found myself in a much different... existing position, haha. So it’s been an adjustment since then getting the art stuff going again. And now my tablet’s given up the ghost. :’(  So basically after Life happened I didn’t really have the wherewithal to post stuff elsewhere, and honestly, I haven’t MADE much since then.

But resources or tutorials…. I hate to be That Person, but idk not really. I can tell you for the John/Mary piece I had a reference photo from a circus in the 40s, because I just liked their poses that much, and I had it open on my phone to one side while I drew to get it where I wanted. And if I’m looking for a certain Look, like I was trying to work out how I wanted to draw Martha Wayne a few days ago, and I wanted a really Old Hollywood kind of look, I looked up photos of people like Greta Garbo to kind of get in the right headspace, but honestly….? I don’t really have much of anything.

As far as I’m concerned most of what I do is high pitched humming at the computer until something Happens and it looks good. And a lot of that is just me consciously deciding what I like that is better than what I was doing, and trying to Do That Thing – and the rest is just figuring out how to do that thing, which entails a lot of toodling around going “Well what the hell was I thinking there?” So most of everything is stuff y’all will never see.

So I guess that’s sort of it. I don’t really have any tutorials I consult regularly, I just kind of brute force it until it looks okay. I mean, I’m also super self-conscious about this art, so I’m also super conscious of things about it that I don’t like… so maybe that’s a factor, too? I couldn’t tell you.

REGARDLESS, thank you for the message!!!! Goodness me. I’m very flattered. And if you have anything else you’re interested in, I’m SUPER GLAD to get anything. :) No promises it’d be a good answer, but I can usually try SOMETHING.
