GODDESS OF LOVE.

𝐒𝐇𝐄  𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃  𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄  𝐔𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃  the same sentiment, eyes searching for the voice before it fell to the sight before her feet.  she took an instant step backwards, examining the snake in front of her from a safe distance.  what shocked her more than the appearance of it, was the fact she distinctly heard a voice come from  it.  it shouldn’t.  she had seen many other strange, unbelievable things in her time, but this somehow won the title in strangeness.  stooping down lower, coming more within eye level of it,  she narrowed her sights before doing something even more ridiculous: answering it.  “ says the snake.  yeah, i’m different. i guess we have that much in common… ”

     ❝  … YOU THINK SO ? ❞  a pause ,  violet eyes casting their gaze downwards for a split second .  ❝  i mean ,  i think being  in denial  is more of a weakness than anything …  people get stronger when they look back to move forward .  at least that’s what i did . ❞

         𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐤𝐞 ,  lara jean felt worried for her aunt.  she extended her hand towards her,  resting it on top of Aphrodite’s.  ❛   you should take a break once in a while,  auntie.   ❜

he ceases the previous speech and a smile blossoms in return. as soon as the words fall from her crimson lips, he knows this is going to be a long-winded answer. fortunately, talking is something that zoroaster is good at. “ well, that’s a very loaded question. you can’t answer questions about love simply. i was lucky to have a mother that loved me very much. we were not rich and my father was nowhere to be seen, but she loved me, and i in turn took cue from her. i’ve known many people who were not so luckily afforded that affection as a child and it makes things hard when love is concerned in adulthood. from romance to friendships, even to just simple kindness, some cannot understand it or express it. it is a sad thing to witness a human so cemented in negative feelings. many of them are too afraid or don’t know how to ask for help, you know? i can say i’ll be able to love forever—-or at least i hope so. but people are shaped by their life events, their upbringings, sometimes pain is all they know how to feel.  “

        Say, what had led to this tragedy? CUE FIRST BETRAYAL: Leonard / Harold singing: it was self-defense, Vanya! You had no choice but to kill them! CUE SECOND BETRAYAL: Luther, whispering: I know didn’t want to hurt her, Vanya. I know. – SAY, HOW MANY MORE? alas, alas, the third time is a charm, my dear. – she shivers; chin thrown up, sight swimming in traitorous tears / devoid of clarity, devoid of … CONTROL. Scream, shout, yell & bang flat palms against the dirty glass ’till bones would crack & hands would shatter. – spinning out of place. Can you feel it? Your very own heart beat, every inhale / exhale taken torture in itself; creating this echo felt in your very ears, your mind, your soul? DOLOROUS; as loud as a thunderclap straining every sinew. – this power hurt. ‘twas too much / all too much I am not here to harm you, I can help you if you let me. Lo, someone close by / there, a voice! oh, you are hallucinating again. –“stay away from me!”

the  power  hit  the  goddess  as  a  surprise  indeed,  never  before  had  she  felt  such  power  among  humans               it  was  almost  as  powerful  and  the  ones  she  felt  among  her  fellow  gods.  everything  around  the  other  felt  so  confused,  so  OUT  OF  CONTROL.  even  if  she  wished  to  help  how  could  she  when  the  other  seemed  to  have  been  betrayed  by  everyone  she  could  trust,  why  would  she  even  trust  someone  like  aphrodite  herself?  how  could  the  goddess  help  someone  that  would  probably  never  trust  her?  but  she  had  to  TRY,  her  heart  told  her  she  needed  to  try,  the  other  deserved  more  before  everything  could  be  taken  away  from  her.            ❛❛    i  promise  i  am  not  here  to  hurt  you.   ❜❜             her  words  were  soft  and  careful  even  when  they  left  the  goddess  lips,  she  was  not  AFRAID  no,  but  yet  she  knew  that  she  needed  to  be  careful.

         ❝ 𝐈 𝐃𝐎𝐍'𝐓 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍 𝐓𝐎. ❞ selene’s voice rang through the air as she stepped forward, one step after the other carried her across to a lounge. not before long she had lowered herself and made herself comfortable. an arm extended forwards as she reached for an empty glass, and poured herself some wine.  ❝ you have the right idea with this… ❞ the titaness muttered before settling back into her seat, an arm draping over the side rest.  

           he hated timeline work. if it was up to jonas, he’d just wing it and hope for the best. but the cruel deadline that was approaching faster than he would like, made him think otherwise. he had to know exactly what he was writing. know every twist and turn before the story started. it wasn’t as fun, of course, but in the long run it did always work out better for him. so when a hand came to rest on his shoulder, part of him welcomed the distraction. he turned to look up at the stranger, the ever present grin wide on his face. someone to talk to! that was exactly what he needed. he gestured to the seat across from him, welcoming her to sit down and tell him what she needed.

 Happy...an emotion Rhea hadn’t felt in years. She spent the last two years in seclusion, trying to gather herself, to go back to happy. She was slowly returning so as long as she was welcomed back by the gods and found her place among them again. Getting back to work, finding her purpose and being around family should help bring her back to her old self. That is what she hoped.

 “It feels good to back, Aphrodite. Better than being alone but that was needed. For the good of all of you along with myself. How was it without me?”

there  was  surprise  on  the  goddess  features  when  the  other  had  come  back.  many  had  spoken  about  rhea  when  she  had  left,  others  had  kept  their  own  feelings  and  thoughts  closed  to  themselves.  for  when  the  titan  and  choosen  to  leave  many  hearts  where  left  BROKEN  behind  her,  specially  of  those  that  cared  more  for  her.  it  was  hard  for  aphrodite  to  speak  before  such  circumstances for  she  did  not  wished  to  lie,  but  she  did  not  wish  for  the  other  to  feel  guilty  for  something  she  believed  was  the  right  choice  to  make.
