Things to do! (That arent super basic)
I have very few hobbies and am very picky abt what I spend my free time doing! But because of this not a lot of basic things to pass the time interest me and I have to get more creative with entertaining myself that isnt being on social media.
I recently found out canva has free magazine templates and you can print them right from the website! I recently made a magazine about everything I like and my personal interests. Its so much fun and you can create it around anything you like! Its so cool to see your own creation physically after you print it as well and Its one of my favorite items!
I recently learned how to do sudoku and ive been loving it! I now have been looking through puzzle books and crossword puzzles to get. This is a simple hobby but one of the ones that are rewarding and actually really good for your brain! You can download apps on your phone but since I am trying to disconnect I got pocket puzzle books! So fun!
Okay as much as this may seem embarrasing I used to love writing fanfiction. I felt so much more motivated writing about a fandom/ people I like when I get to create such a ridiculous main character story. Being able to create my own story with topics and or fandoms I liked made me want to continue to write to see how many more interesting tropes and side quests It would go. As someone who is an avid day dreamer, being able to write a more proffesional day dream about the things I want to do and places I want to go made me feel more excited to strive for them.
4: Make a stand and sell at a park!
Recently I made a lemonade stand with my bsf and sold it in a park and it was so fun! Not only did we get to talk to a bunch of different people we also did make a profit! Making a stand is so much fun and you can sell anything such as lemonade, or bake goodies and sell those and any crafts you are interested in creating! Just be aware of what places may require a permit to sell, my state doesnt require a permit to sell at a stand in public parks but always do your research!
If your someone thats into manifesting or even just mapping out what you want your future to be making vision boards on pinterest is so much fun!! I have vision boards dedicated to hangouts, parties, relationships, and even friends! Mapping out what I want my life to be like through pictures that well represent my aspirations makes me feel so motivated to work hard and actually reach those goals. You can make a vision board physically with printing out pictures which can be a fun project and or creating online boards on social medias.
6: Find exploration games on roblox
Sometimes when ive been secluded to my house for a long time and feel lazy I love to go on roblox and find small player games that offer exploration! Its so much fun to see the designs of different creators and different worlds. Roblox has so many different games to explore that have so many different worlds, some of my personal favorites being many nostalgia exploration games, liminal spaces and the backrooms, and 2000s houses! This is just a fun way to feel like your getting out without actually getting out.
As someone who has been editing since 4th grade I may be biased to this hobby but I think editing is so much fun. You can do so much with editing and it is so fun being able to express your favorite creators, tv shows, movies, and or games through editing! Editing came come in many different forms too which releases pressure on having to be good! The many different types of editing can appeal to almost every person and with tutorials online and on social media you can learn simple transitions and styles of editing so quickly and easily. Even with free editing softwares like capcut, you can still make really good and impressive edits. Another plus to editing is that it brings an opprotunity to possibly be noticed by the fandom and or person you are editing! Many times when I have editing celebrities I admire or like in certian movies or shows and posted it, they have seen it and reacted to them!
I hope all these ideas help inspire you to try something new! I tried finding hobbies that arent always suggested since I always see videos saying the same, EX: Journaling, or going on walks, which when im in a funk and need to find somethign to do, those are the last things i wanna do.
