Rosebird illustration I did for @yuriolympics Main Round 1! Based on the prompt ‘Revival’, this is my creative take on Raven’s semblance and how she might’ve tried (and failed) to reach Summer through it after her death. Hopefully the bg comes across as comic panels with Raven’s portal breaking through to reach Summer!

I wanted to try painting in a different way. I’m not sure if I’m completely sold on it yet or not, but I definitely need to improve my rendering :,P

I wanted to draw this ship as a “what if,” like, what if Bill had followed her instead of burning down the comic shop because of it? It’s pretty wishful thinking to imagine they could have something cute, but please let me imagine them as a couple of awkward, sweaty-handed idiots.
