Today on the Third Sunday of Pascha, we celebrate the Holy Myrrhbearing Women who bravely went to Christ’s tomb very early in the morning, risking their lives in order to pay respect to Him by anointing His body with expensive perfumes. We also celebrate Saints Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus the Councillor (ex-Pharisee) who are also considered brave for their actions.
