i sent that last ask about how P should probably educate her and blah blah blah and I wanted to lastly add that I do sort of see your pov , you always hear “racism is taught” (not saying lauren is racist) but its so true, you’re a product of your environment and if thats what shes being taught and encouraged to believe in its no surprise thats what shes choosing to support.

I agree with everything you and most of your anons are saying, but i also dont understand why p and lauren are polar opposites with these things, lauren obviously listens to and sees what paige says and does and her popular quotes and speeches about equality and what she stands for etc etcc I dont see how you can have an older sibbling as influential as paige and support the complete opposite of what she stands for. I doubt this is something P has talked to her about but it’s genuinely disheartening to know that this is probably what shes being taught by the people around her. they were obviously both raised differently and around different people and thats shaped them differently but i justt 🥴🥴 .. Someone like Paige needs to educate her on these things, as someone whos young too ive looked at her profile and obviously all of her friends are white (nothing wrong with that) but that obviously attests to the environment shes in. Like do you not understand that orange man is against Paiges sexuality, Azzi’s race and literally their entire relationship ..

I think people feel a way about what your saying becsuse it comes off as your trying to excuse it becsuse she's young and making it seem like people who feel a way have been stalking her but as I can only speak for myself I found out on Tumblr,but understand what your trying to say that's just what it comes off as.

no girl o completely understand what you are trying to say. as a 17 year old on the app, and from a person who lives in a currently red state and area, i have seen all my life exactly what you are saying. people my age honestly aren’t too interested politics and choose to be ignorant to what is going on because we have privilege (for reference i have one poc in my entire grade), because of this, they just say whatever their parents say and believe what they believe. this is so sad, but it’s true, and while i don’t agree with those people and maybe we don’t agree with lauren, stalking a 14 year old and being hateful is no way of helping.

I completely hear your opinion but at the end of the day this is something that will follow her around bc of how much she reposts and references her political views. It would be one thing to have an opinion and keep it to yourself but for her to encourage and constantly show her support for it online is another. As horrible as it sounds this girl just like paige’s brother has gotten a lot of her followers from paige’s fan base. I for one am not the biggest fan of young children who are siblings of a public figure having a public account, although that is not up to me. So even tho she is a minor she still has opinions and she choose to share them online which opens herself up to criticism. It is even more of a discussion when that said public figure has spoken out about a lot of injustices that are directly created and pushed by the political party Lauren is apart of or claims to support. Yes she is young but not young enough to understand morals and even if she is maga that’s not something she has to post about but she chooses all while knowing her sister has spoken about certain things and that’s what makes it wrong. I do agree people should stop stalking her page bc it’s weird but that’s not something you or I can control meaning when she posts things like that it gives other people the impression she knows what she’s talking about and that’s how she feels. Even tho she’s young she still has a brain and even if it was taught by her parents she doesn’t have to post about it. So yes it is wrong and people have the right to talk about it and if she feels uncomfortable with it she’d stop posting and reposting about it.

None of that explains why you’re excusing white children using their bigotry as a learning phase while children of color suffer, I’m just more confused since you’re also a poc. She is old enough to repost politics she is old enough to handle the criticism. Your age is speaking loudly.

Such a god awful and privileged take. You and her are both old enough to see and understand politics, even repost and form your own opinions. White children get to be as bigoted as they want in their youth with people like YOU making excuses while children of color suffer.
