Who knew when this false spring would end. One day all the snow is cleared, the sun shining bright. And the next it’s snowing, the ground being covered once again by the white blanket that’s far overstayed it’s welcome. The ground had become quite slippery with all the snow constantly melting, it really was not the best conditions to be out in the field. Yet Kieran would set out to make the most of the new warm weather that he’s so dearly missed.

The unsteady ground caused him to slip here and there, but always managed to catch himself before his feet went out from under him. There was a pleasant feeling in the air, the warm sun made everything feel revitalizing. And as the cool breeze brought his senses to life, it really was the time for new beginnings. Soon enough the trees would grow their leaves and the grass would gain its beautiful green colour. The bright blue sky a promise of what is to come.

Leaving a couple footprints in the small patches of snow, Kieran’s eyes lit up. There sat in right in front of him, a small yellow flower. Its bright colour popped out against the dull backdrop, the first sign of spring. Kneeling down, the ground not seeming too wet, Kieran laid across his stomach and smiled. Joining it in bringing colour to his world.

It wouldn’t be long until his brother would spot him. Lucien had planned to fight Kieran for his shirt, needing to throw it in the wash, only noticing the flower after Kieran beckoned him down. At first he didn’t understand. What was so special about a weed? A regular flower would’ve been more impressive.

But the more he looked, the longer he thought about it, the more he started to understand. It represented a bright glowing light that was needed to bring joy. Maybe if he left it grow, two more little lights would join it so it won’t be lonely any longer. Dandelions are weeds, unwanted and looked down at. But as they grow, they find purpose in making wishes come true.

I started doing this for fun to yap about my hyper fixation on this game to my friend and before I knew it I was recreating the game lolol
