When it was the day when WWE made AJ Lee lost her title was shocking, not only for her but also for her fans, because she had defeated the odds at Wrestlemania 30 and loosing the title the RAW after was odd. However, the fact that her streak as the longest reigning Diva’s champion was ended by the NXT rookie Paige didn’t seem so bad. Because when the two of them met, they easily became great friends and April was more than happy to mentor Saraya to become a better Diva each and every day.

Time has passed and the girls grew extremely close, not to mention the two of them were having a great feud as the so called frenemies. It was one of those storylines April really enjoyed, and to see how both Saraya and her were passionate in the ring, really helped to give the fans that realistic feel even if it was scripted.

Finally they ditched the whole frenemies thing before Wrestlemania 31 came so they could go against the Bella twins. And of course the creative made them take the victory, to show that freaks & geeks are the one in power.

However, AJ had to leave the roster for a bit as she suffered neck injury, and Paige had to deal with so called Bella dominance, and April felt bad that she couldn’t be there to be a tag team partner for her. But when she got the news that she is able to be back in action again, the same day April informed the authorities that her condition is great, so they booked her a match with Paige to go against, of course, The Bella twins.

She now had a level playing field to work with. When AJ was taken off the roster, Saraya was devastated, but sympathetic. A neck injury was not something she wished on anyone, certainly not her friend. But in this industry these things happened- and more often than not the fighters were tough enough to move on from it. “Are you okay to fight? Don’t want you to mess up your neck again, y'know?” Her concern was understandable; unlike Paige, Saraya was a lot less callous and a lot more empathetic and a lot less angry.

Having April there was a game changer. An all too welcome surprise. If Saraya didn’t know.. Neither did the Bellas. Her luck had just took a turn for the better. She couldn’t wait to see the looks on their faces. She was shocked that things had been arranged in her favour. For so long she had been playing the under dog that she had gotten all too used to it. She had gotten used to the bitter pill of defeat. Victory would be a welcome change.
