            This was usually the point in the conversation where he found a reason to high tail it outta there. Some things he just didn’t think about -- wouldn’t let himself even go near it. “Well, you’re wrong -- no offense, ma’am. Hey! Maybe you heard wrong. Maybe she meant Daniel.... He’s got that whole boyish charm thing going on.”

                 “Oh no -- I AM. Promise! Pretty much the only thing I notice is what they’re serving for lunch... It’s ham & cheese today, by the way! But -- look, you’ve got it all wrong. Carter’s... my teammate. And my friend. That’s it.”
