i kind of wish i taught older kids as well because i want to see if the levels of tech illiteracy ive seen change once they get laptops in grade 7. because right now its actually horrifying. the real little ones, yeah sure. but ive been asked by kids who should absolutely know by now what a backspace is. how do i type an exclamation mark. how do i use a touch pad. etc etc. never experienced manual saving something. its insane. what happened to computer lab bruh i got taught all this when i was 6. i thought ppl talking ab this on tumblr was like. millenial equivalent of boomer behaviour but i will have to concede it was not

my point is computer lab gotta come back and no more letting kids first intro to tech be a mac or an ipad

being paranoid is very frustrating because i desperately want to install windows 7 on the old old laptop i have (its original os), but i dont have a disc with it, and i cannot bring myself to use an internet archive because. paranoia. so im stuck trying to track one down and i cannot for some reason. cousins are scum (apple users), grandma threw most discs out (i am already grateful she gave me the laptop), and my family used xp (which i cannot get to install either. sighs)

i love windows 7 my most beloved. i unfortunately type this from my useless gaming partition (windows 11) but apart from that i use endeavouros with a kde plasma windows 7 theme and it is so beautiful. my entire desktop environment is whatever i want. everyone switch to linux now
