hello lovlies!!! i’m rina (she/her), you can catch me in EST, and this is my misunderstood princess, choi eunae. i’m so excited to write with you all and develop our muses together!! for the first time in forever i actually have pages written up and prepared so feel free to give em a looksie and see if anything piques your interest! i also have a discord for anyone interested in getting that uwu otherwise i’ll leave some ramblings of me talking about this lil lady under the cut below and you can give this post a like so that i may slide into your msgs for some plots!! ♡
ok so kingdom of hearts
she’s the twin of, the rose, who everyone loves but nobody really loves eunae lol
despite growing up hearing all these whispers and gossip about herself, she just throws herself into studying about her kingdom and other royal duties......all that jazz
basically she wants to be the perfect princess and more AND EVENTUALLY the perfect queen for her kingdom bc at the end of the day she genuinely loves the kingdom of hearts and wants to rule over to be the greatest she can be for her citizens bc it’s what they deserve
ofc this does not come across to the people at all bc of her demeanor (she’s a real stickler for rules and protocol so everyone just thinks she has a stick up her ass sdfjsfd) and she’s just so busy studying all the time and dealing with princess stuff that she hardly ever steps foot outside of the palace (except to visit other kingdoms on official duty)
to sum her up, she basically has this inferiority complex since all her life everyone has just compared her to her sister despite how hard she’s tried but she naively believes that eventually all her hardwork will eventually pay off and she will be noticed and redeemed!!
but yeah if youre gonna take away anything from this she just wants to be perfect so bad
also unlike me she is quite the prodigy and genius and has taught herself to be fluent in several languages as well as war strategies and has mastered the sword at a decently young age despite it being “unladylike”
her sword skills are something i she considers her greatest asset, but doesnt boast about it vocally (she believes actions speak louder than words if u understand what i’m implying wink wink. if u dont basically she challenges you to a duel/spar to show you just how good she is)
atm pulling a lot of inspo from zuko (atla), kind of like a madea and psyche lovechild (your throne webtoon), and a lil bit of wendy (the newlywed diary of a witch and a dragon webtoon) and latil (men of the harem webtoon........sir sonnaught PLEASE)
but as always idk what i’m doing till im actually writing and plotting so bear with me as things may seem wonky until i settle in ty

an audible sigh left her lips as eunae entered the venue of the secret masquerade. time and time again she’d heard the stories of shenanigans that occurred at the restricted event, but never felt the desire to attend. up until a few weeks ago, her desire (or lack thereof) remained the same. however, inklings of interest began to stir in her mind at baek nabi’s insistence that she attend. of course, given the nature of their relationship, there were few words exchanged between the two. still, just the fact that the other had even wanted eunae present meant more to the first tier princess than one would think. and so, despite needing to muster up the courage to attend alone and anonymous, eunae did just that in the hopes of potentially meeting the other (even if by chance).
even so, courage could not excuse the fact that eunae had never been to an event like such on her own. without even a single guard by her side, she admittedly felt exposed and afraid. “maybe this was a mistake.” eunae whispered under breath, nervously pivoting in the opposite direction. she’d intended to retreat from the party, only to find herself colliding into another masked figure instead. “pardon me! i’m not normally so clumsy — i don’t know how i managed to do that. are you alright?”
“i’m waiting for someone,” sunwoo says. “if i’m bothering you, i can leave.” he follows up his words with a smirk, recognizing that same smile. he’s sure he’s flashed it a million times. he knows that eunae won’t deny him to stay because she’s afraid of what he’d say to others if she did. he revels in it, the flip side to politeness. it’s exhausting to all royals, the game of pretend; it can turn from something even something as simple as not wanting to be bothered.
“you could tell me what you’ve learned in ethics, if you don’t mind. are you a princess, perhaps?” of course she is, everyone grows up knowing who’s who to the kings and queens – eunae happens to be one of the faces he was first introduced to but it’s not about that. it’s about how she responds, that’s what he’s looking forward to. an eye twitch or an annoyed tap of her fingers would be all he needs to feel satisfied. “do you know princess nanseolheon? everyone talks about her in the clovers kingdom, so smart and pretty. it’s funny, i try to keep up with everyone in the other kingdoms but i don’t think i remember seeing your face.”
“oh, no. you’re no bother at all. please, feel free to sit down.” of course it was a lie. but eunae continued to smile as warmly as she could despite her true feelings on the matter. clearly they were not of the kingdom of hearts, thus giving her even more of a reason not to usher them out of the library as quickly as they’d come. still, she hoped that maybe the ‘someone’ he was waiting for would arrive sooner than anticipated.
his questions continue, giving eunae little time to produce a response thought out well enough for her liking. then she heard her name and found herself caught off-guard by the younger’s words. eunae could easily sense that he was trying to evoke some sort of reaction out of her, especially at the tail end of his spiel. however, she was more curious than anything else, simply raising a brow to display just that. “indeed, i do know princess nanseolheon. i am one of her older sisters. although it is news to me that the clovers kingdom sings such high praises of her, as this is the first i’ve heard. i’m sure our queen would be just as happy to hear of it. though, i’m quite curious as to how you know so much of her. please, do share.”
hi friends!!! i haven’t had the time or energy to be too active lately but i am still slowly (but surely!!!) getting to replies i owe as well as messages!! i also am such a lover of events to i’m very excited for what’s to come!! under the cut will be some thread ideas so feel free to comment the number if you’re interested and i’ll write you up a short starter— especially those who i havent had the chance to plot/thread with yet!! ♡ i’ll probably add more but if you want to thread something that doesn’t fit any of these lmk!! and if you want to be included in eunae’s social media post, leave a 👻spoopy emoji🎃 in the comments as well hehe
edit: yall know im always game for messy stuff pls
diamond blessings: eunae thinks the trinkets are the absolute cutest to make, but she’s having a bit harder of a time than one would think. you offer your assistance, whether it be out of kindness or mere pity
let’s take a walk: eunae is aware of how she’s viewed in the eyes of the people, though she’s never dug deep into the details. and while she wants nothing more than to explore the festivities, she’s also afraid to venture out on her own, scared of the whispers she may hear out on the streets. this results in her begging your muse to accompany her (think of it as glorified babysitting)
fortune favors: eunae isn’t big on fortune telling, but your muse insists that this event was one that she could not miss! your muse drags eunae to get your fortunes told together
who are you?: you’re someone who insisted that eunae attend the secret costume party. despite her constant rejections, you run into someone you think may be her, so you take the time to confirm your suspicions. (spoiler: you’re right, but she’s making you second guess yourself). this thread would just be our muses......doing party things as people do LMAO with a lil hint of ~not knowing who they’re speaking with~
kiss and tell: eunae is filled with liquid courage tonight and is very much unlike herself. a few dances lead to something more and suddenly she finds herself sneaking away with your muse for a rendezvous. this will be eunae flirting probably and then leading to something a little more than hand holding LOL and will likely lead to more plotting post event! and it’ll be messy i’m sure. we can end the thread before the nsfw, but it’s something heavily implied.

there was a small rage bubbling under heon’s skin. the family she’d been born into poised themselves of being a kingdom of love. light radiating from their palace, smiles on their faces and welcoming to their patrons and yet she’s felt nothing but animosity since she walked through the door. there was more than tension, a deep seeded hatred that she wasn’t sure was directed towards her or each other. there isn’t love here, mostly animosity and fully of judgement, where heon was constantly made uncomfortable just for being herself.
eunae’s voice was a drone in her ear. she flashed a sweet smile at the civilians watching them as they waited. they smiled back, what she felt were the first genuine smiles she’d ever seen since she walked through those doors, they’d seemed to like her, so why was eunae so concerned with her and her appearance?
heon scribbled into her journal with another roll of her eyes,
maybe you all, should work on creating your own images instead of leeching off each others.
she wrote pungnatly turning her nose up to the princess.
news flash “big sister” i’m not as insecure as you, so people talking behind my back doesn’t ruffle my feathers as much as you think. just because you are incapable of walking around without the fear of other’s opinions doesn’t mean you can take it out on me. i can make you a dress if you want? probably would be safer fabric and better quality than what you have on if you’re so interested in my attire.
“you seem to be confused about who is the leech here.” she responded through gritted teeth. eunae wouldn’t consider herself to be a cruel person. however, she also couldn’t say that she’d been particularly kind to the youngest of their family. the royal family of the kingdom of hearts was far from perfect, she could not deny that. but growing up, there had always been a clear place for each member to co-exist in. knowing where they stood in this hierarchy at least kept the palace halls structured and harmonious. then her father’s proof of an affair — his unfaithfulness to the queen — moved in to shake everything up. whenever she set eyes on nanseolheon, there was a feeling of bitterness that was evoked, no matter how hard she tried to suppress it.
had the younger struck a chord through eunae? was that the reason for her suddenly wicked tongue? even so, knowing that the other seemed to understand what eunae was feeling even without revealing them herself, why did she still not understand where the criticism was stemming from? the princess was both irritated and confused by their exchange of words.
“regardless of what you think of me and the way i carry myself, you are a princess, nanseolheon. particularly, the daughter of our king. what you do, what you say, how you act, and what you wear has an effect on us all. have you not paid any attention to your lessons, or is this all just your way of rebelling against the throne? if so, you are welcome to leave the palace and scurry back to wherever it is you came.”
yet another distasteful conversation with the other, in which her words sat bitterly on the tip of her tongue. it was because of moments like these that eunae questions whether choosing to ignore the younger from the very beginning of her arrival in the palace would have been the best option for them both. her words of advice clearly meant nothing anyway.
a simple envelope arrives at your room, so nondescript you may wonder if it’s actually meant for you — until you notice your name written on the front in black, cursive letters. there is no sender but the envelope has been closed shut with a wax seal you know to be from THE SEER. it seems you have a message of upmost importance… but will you open it?
“you’ve been invited to a wedding of a princess you are fond of who will be leaving the country to join her husband. as the ceremony is coming to an end though, another royal steps up to object in their matrimony. do you do anything to interfere?”
————— @thecrownseer
strange. eunae had always thought of what she would do in the face of a message from the seer. prior to the actual moment, she’d always said that she would respond without hesitation, just as she would any other message addressed to her. however, now that it was actually happening, she could not avoid the ominous feeling of dread running through her bones.
she knew there was no wrong answer…but what if there was? eunae knew not what the consequences of her response could lead to. in fact, was the seer even real or just a mere person wanting to pull a trick? perhaps one day she would discover the answer. but until then,— she resigned to her desk to muster up a reply, only hoping that it wasn’t a ploy to somehow be used against her.
to have been invited to the wedding of a princess whom i am fond of would be a true honor of mine. witnessing the matrimony between two countries, even more so. one would say that it is common knowledge to know that it is a custom that holds much importance in maintaining good relations throughout our three kingdoms.
however, it would be hypocritical to say that to follow through with the marriage at all cost is a duty that outweighs that of your own heart. i, myself, had chosen not to move further with my engagement to a prince of another kingdom. although it was a difficult decision that could have had great consequences on my kingdom, i was not happy— nor did i believe that i ever could be. the thought of potentially sharing a throne with one i held such disdain for— and whose deep contempt towards me felt suffocating— pained me. in the end, i felt like a mere pawn on a chessboard— helpless. there were no contributions i could make to my kingdom in that state. i could not follow through, nor do i believe i was ready.
if the princess felt the same as i did, there would be no way i could bring myself to interfere. whether or not they choose to act on the objection of the ceremony or not is a decision that must ultimately be left to them. such a difficult situation could provide the strength to help them persevere, regardless of which outcome they decide to pursue.
eunae pauses her writing as she stops to think of how she would react were she to be in the princess’ shoes. if she had gone through with her engagement to hyunsu, standing before him at their ceremony, would she have wanted an objection of the matrimony to be interjected? a quick yes crossed her mind at the fear of having to face the confrontation so late into the process. the backlash that the outburst would receive— mumbles of an affair, the pride of her fiancé (regardless of her personal feelings towards him)— would be disastrous. but had it been the one she truly loved, her heart would be swayed, and there was really only one option: to be with that person. eunae knew that if she were given that push, she would want to be able to pursue her true desires.
every royal knows the weight and consequences of objecting a matrimony. to do so is an act of foolishness and could place you in a dangerous predicament. however, it is also brave to be able to confront your feelings in the face of that danger, and that should be commended, not punished.
whenever kijung visits the palace of hearts, he can’t help but feel like he’s been transported to another world. the aesthetics and design of the hearts is like a complete opposite of the spades’ own palace and having grown up there his entire life, the hearts’ palace is a lot to take in. it was just so bright everywhere and that was not something kijung was used to so it was little off-putting any time he stepped foot into the kingdom.
he couldn’t avoid it though since connections and bonds between all kingdoms was important and maybe even paramount—as the royal tutors made sure to drill into his and every other royal’s heads—so who was kijung to go against that? it couldn’t hurt to be more familiar with the other kingdoms and possibly form friendly connections either plus he appreciated being able to leave the spades kingdom at any cost anyways, so if this was how he got to achieve that then so be it.
what he didn’t expect on his impromptu outing though ( under the guise of wanting to greet the other royals to reinforce positive connections ) was running into one of the daughters of the current king of hearts himself, choi eunae — and quite literally at that, with how he would’ve crashed into the girl had he not caught himself at the last second. instead, he makes himself look clumsy and uncoordinated as he tries to get out of her way in time which causes his face to flush once he regains his balance and realizes that the princess had just witnessed it all.
so much for being a poised and put-together prince.
“you saw nothing,” he states by way of a greeting, trying to keep his voice steady and definitely not pleading ( he still has some pride after all and he refuses to make even more of an embarrassment out of himself than he’s sure he already did ) and hoping he left no room for argument— all while trying to appear nonchalant as he brushes invisible dust off his clothes. then, in a much quieter voice, he coughs out, “but if you did— please keep it a secret…”
when eunae had heard word of her new shipment of books arriving to the palace, she eagerly volunteered to move them into the library herself, in place of the staff. not only did she believe that they had many other things to attend to already, but the princess also wished to be the first to see the books up close. after waiting for months, she was desperate to crack open a new book or two and had already cleared her day’s schedule to do just that.
what she hadn’t anticipated for the day was nearly dropping her new pile of books just as soon as she’d managed to lat her hands on them. luckily, such an ill fate hadn’t befallen her, but it could just as easily have happened had she not heard footsteps heading her way. ensuring steady footing and a tight grasp on her pile of books obstructing her view, eunae peeked out from behind, ever so slightly, just in time to witness someone stumbling around in a great attempt at avoiding running into her. “cute.” she chuckled under breath, waiting patiently for the other to catch his balance before speaking to him directly.
“i saw nothing.” she agreed, light heartedly, unable to restrain her small grin. while eunae was no good at matching names to faces, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of familiarity from the visitor. he appeared younger than herself, so there was a small chance that they’d ever attended any schooling or events with one another. but she couldn’t quite shake the similarity of the younger to that of a charming prince she was rather fond of.
“were you lost? i’d be happy to assist you as soon as i’ve transferred these books to the library.” she lifted the pile in her hands slightly, but barely. though she’d managed to build up her strength through her swordsmanship training, eunae would still consider herself a petite figure. while she was not as frail as others might consider her to be, she wasn’t superhuman (and her books were not so small, either). the princess knew that she could only maintain this conversation for so long before actually dropping her books all over them both.
“Chul.” And normally, Chul would let the conversation end there, but not tonight. No, he needed to make sure that he established their acquaintance at the very least. But what else was he supposed to say? Chul tried not to frown as his body continued to move with the music. Should he ask her about her day? Or should he compliment her dress? Did women like that? Silently, he cursed himself when he realized that he had contemplated for too long and had completely missed the timing of continuing the conversation. Knowing that he might have caused suspicion, he quietly cleared his throat and apologized softly, “I’m sorry, I’m not very great at talking.”
He steps away and twirls her, watching her turn in a fluid motion as if she was dancing on air. And then he pulls her in again when she faces him again. Chul pulls the princess in closer by the waist, but consciously made sure that it was not too close as to not make her uncomfortable as he added, “But I hope that doesn’t turn you away from me.” The music comes to a slow and he leads her back to where he had asked for her hand. He bows formally and pauses for a moment, glancing behind him. The watching eyes quickly turned away and the few gathered people swiftly left as the next song began to play. Chul knew that he needed to make a small scene so that the Queen was aware that he had began her assignment, but with Eunae’s engagement having only been recently cancelled, they were drawing much more attention than needed. He knew that it would be hard to talk to her and get closer if it was in front of many prying eyes.
Turning back to face Eunae, Chul offered gently, “It seems there are too many curious eyes in this ballroom. Would you like to take a quiet night stroll with me through the garden?”
“ah.” she can’t stop the audible reaction at the drop of his name. as smitten as she’d found herself for a second, his reputation preceded him. the prince was a favorite of the queen— so much so that eunae caught herself questioning whether or not it was safe for her to be sharing a dance with him. however, not much more was known regarding the details of their relationship, making the princess feel guilty for jumping to any conclusions without much reason, wiping the thought just as quickly as she’d allowed it to come to mind. how rude of me. “it’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance, prince chul. i am princess choi eunae of the kingdom of hearts.” she offered a curt smile following the simple introduction, making her mind up to get to know the prince better before making any further judgements. nevertheless, words of caution echoed through her mind as she caught a peek of her private knight (and dear friend) in the background. without being told, eunae knew that she needed to tread carefully around the other...but he was so nice.
following their short exchange, there was hesitation from the other, that much was blatantly obvious to eunae as the pair danced in silence. was it her reaction? perhaps he’d thought the same about her as she did herself— it was impolite after all. as a princess, she should have exercised more caution with her words. eunae bites down lightly on her bottom lip with concern at the thought before smiling with relief at his words that follow. she’s about to respond with reassurance, but before she is able, he leads her into spin. eunae giggles as he does so, then silenced once she’s pulled closer towards him. her words find themselves caught in her throat, afraid of spilling out as a messy blurb of word vomit. it was silly, but all she could bring herself to do was shake her head no. no, she wasn’t turning away from him (though, she wished she could, considering how red she felt her face flushing). “i’m not so great at talking myself.”
it was a strange sensation, dancing with him. her mind kept telling her to run away, but she couldn’t bring herself to do so. even as the music began to fade and those around them began to clear the floor, eunae continued to follow his lead, walking alongside him, mindlessly. “that sounds nice.” she smiles, agreeing to the invitation with a small nod. normally, eunae would never do such a thing, yet here she was, following a stranger into the night with an all too willing smile. for once she thought nothing of her reputation nor of the prince who never saw her as anything more than an acquaintance from another kingdom. all she thought about was getting to know more about this mysterious prince who chose her first over all others in a crowded ballroom.

⤷ @jiaecwn
it was sad to admit it, but eunae was slowly becoming used to no longer being attached to her dear twin sister by the hip. it was a bitter pill to swallow at the time, seeing as she’d always hid behind jiae, almost acting as her shadow. she was small, shy, and felt pale in comparison to the shining light that was her sister. but she knew that one day she’d have to grow up eventually, and jiae distancing herself seemed to be the opportunity to do just that. suddenly their joint lessons had become private and their shared bedroom was now entirely hers. the silence was lonely, but she was slowly learning to find comfort in it.
which was why her sister’s sudden arrival took her for quite the shock.
why now, of all times? she was minding her business, wasn’t she? studying on her own at a desk hidden in the back corner of the library. there were thousands of other desks and rooms in the palace, so why here? she seldom approached eunae at events these days, never receiving more than a subtle nod in greeting from her sister. so while she wasn’t exactly complaining about jiae’s sudden company, she certainly questioned it.
“hello...” she was hesitant with her words, looking up questionably from her notes. “isn’t it time for breakfast right about now? what brings you here?” should she ask her to sit down? was jiae done trying to separate herself? maybe she missed her sister — eunae definitely would admit that she, herself, did. but she was also afraid to be the first say this, scared that she’d scare her off again.
when she had arrived at the clover kingdom on official business, eunae was told her audience would be slightly delayed. the princess, though minorly peeved and curious as to why, did not pry. without any further questions, she sat in the waiting room quietly. surely they wouldn’t keep her for too long, would they? eunae had faith that those of the kingdom of cloves wouldn’t leave their guest unattended to for any longer than an hour...right?
wrong.
one hour passed. then another. and another two after that. in a search for answers, eunae burst through the doors of the room against the wishes of her private knight. under normal circumstances, a princess of her manner would never do such a thing. however, had this been any sort of usual circumstance, she never would have been left alone to wait in a room for four hours, in an outer kingdom, without notice.
“this is so ridiculous.” she uttered under breath with annoyance. hiking up the front hem of her dress, eunae began strutting down the hallway in pursuit of anyone with an answer.
her frustration, however, began to drift away slowly at the sound of a melodic tune from down a nearby hallway. it was haunting, but beautiful, and eunae could only find herself making her way towards it, mesmerized. whatever it was she was on her way to do prior was no longer on the forefront of her mind. and upon discovering the source of the song, the princess couldn’t keep herself from interrupting the musician with a shower of compliments.
“that was beautiful! if i could only play half as well as you, perhaps i would become the crown jewel of the kingdom of hearts.” she chuckled lightly before resting beside the piano frame. “i was unaware that the clover kingdom was hiding such a talented musician. do you teach? i’d love to learn how to play like that.”
have you heard? there was heavy smoke seen billowing from the seer’s tower. not long after that, the carriage of the seer was seen leaving the gates of the country. it seems they have an urgent message to deliver personally.
it wasn’t the fact that he was down per say. it was more so confused at the whole situation. when suddenly your best friend isnt your best friend anymore it tends to never leave your mind. insu took a deep breath closing his book and leaned back against his chair. how could he tell eunae that suddenly he brother stopped talking to him was still not sitting well on his mind? how could he say that he felt like he was still alone. how could he say that he still thought about it every night?
looking over to his dear friend he shook his head softly. “its really nothing. eunae-ssi. just thinking of things.” he didn’t necessarily want to shut her out, nor did he want to make her feel like he didn’t want to share his feelings. but what was he suppose to do? these feelings confused him, let alone still feeling them after years. “anyway. how are your studies going?” it wasn’t to fully change the subject. just maybe give him time to find the exact right wording for what was plaguing his mind.
a sound of dissatisfaction escapes her lips as she frowns at the other. “i keep telling you that there’s no need for formalities, just eunae is fine.” for as long as she could remember, insu was always by her brother’s side. thus, in her eyes, the tier two prince was practically an extension of her dear older brother whom she always looked fondly towards.
at his response, it was clear that there was something more than beneath the surface bothering him, but eunae knew it was not her place to pry. she was always one to respect the privacy of others, never pushing for more information out of them than they’d allow to share comfortably. therefore, at the shift of conversation, the princess easily resigned.
“i’d say they’re going quite well. i’ve practically re-read each and every book in this library at least a hundred times.” she mused aloud, knowing quite well that she’d managed to memorize each line by heart. and while she was proud of this fact, it also made her a bit sad as well— though she wouldn’t be able to explain why she felt as such. “i’ve requested a new shipment of books! however, i’m unsure of whether or not we have any room to store them...” her words trailed off quietly as she pondered to herself. “perhaps the children of the kingdom would be able to make better use of them. do you think it would be possible for the knights to deliver them to the outskirts of the kingdom as well?”
despite being all too aware of the reputation her name carried throughout the kingdom of hearts, her thoughts always came back around to what she could do for the citizens who resided. she always believed that so long as she continued to show kindness to others that her efforts would make themselves known eventually. even more so than that, the results of such kindness would speak for themselves. so long as her citizens were thriving, she would continue to work hard to ensure that life in the kingdom remained as such.
“or would it be too boring for them to read books about past figures and politics? perhaps i should order more fairytale stories for them! what do you think?”

“Be careful who you trust and tell your problems to. Not everyone who smiles at you is your friend.”
none of this was new to jaejin, meeting up with one of his twin sisters, eunae, to ‘chat’ and have a few laughs or even him listening to her concerns she’s having. it’s true that, up until he was eighteen, he actually did care about hearing what all she was worried about, what was bothering her in her life. it was true that at some point he actually would care about her wellbeing and gladly stand up for her when times got hard, however things change - people change, and he wasn’t the same big brother he once had been.
at this point it was all mostly just him gathering information about her weaknesses, figuring out how he could possibly take her down if that day came where she really became a threat to his plans revolving around the throne. even if, by some chance, he were to revert back to his old self, it would be too late for him to even think about genuinely caring for her once again. the damage he had done to her over the past 12 years, without her knowledge of any of it even happening right under her nose, would be too much for her to even possibly forgive him if she were to find out how he had been using her this whole time.
did he feel bad for becoming the monster that he had become? maybe deep down he did, very deep down, but he couldn’t dwell on the past or any regrets, he had to take their mother down and rid her of the throne no matter what. in his mind, this was the only way to make things right in the world, at least that’s what his intentions had been in the beginning. over time it was as if the greed had finally swallowed him whole, as if he didn’t have an ounce of humanity left within him to even care about who he hurt along the way. at least that’s what he thinks anyway.
jaejin is sitting there, enjoying his cup of coffee, as he runs through his plans for the day in his head while he awaits for eunae to arrive. it had become a routine by now that the two of them did practically every single day, unless either were too busy to show up, and he would listen to her talk while acting as if he truly cared about whatever it was that she was upset over.
as he takes another sip of his hot beverage, something - or rather someone, catches his attention out of the corner of his eye and he turns his head to see who it is. showtime. jaejin allows that usual ‘brotherly’ smile form on his lips as he realizes it’s eunae, setting his cup down before waving her over to him. “how’s my favorite little sister doing today?” he asks this as he continues with his act. “don’t let the others know that you’re the favorite, we don’t want to have them trying to fight you for my attention.” he jokingly states, as he stands to give eunae a hug as he usually does.
tea time with older brother— it had been one of her most favored times of the day ever since they were young. while she couldn’t put a finger on when they’d began, eunae was always excited for the tea parties, regardless of how childish it may seem to others. ever since distancing from her beloved twin, it had always been a comfort to the princess knowing that at the end of the day, she still had her big brother on her side. he was a constant in her life that she was heavily reliant on; a fact she never bothered to hide from him, or anyone, for that matter.
“jaejin!” she flashes a bright smile in return, waving excitedly before lifting the hem of her dress to hurry her pace towards their meeting place. as he stood to hug her, the younger practically jumped into his arms, always finding comfort in the greeting. “i spent the morning dealing with some silly boys, so it’s a relief that your schedule was open today. none of them are even half the gentleman you are.” none but one, but that conversation was for another day. eunae couldn’t imagine how her older brother would react to her being head over heels over a prince from another kingdom. not to mention the feelings weren’t exactly mutual.
a small laugh leaves her lips at the other’s joke. “are you insinuating that the others aren’t already aware?” she teases back with a raise of her brow, smirking as she takes a sip of the tea placed before her. a smile of satisfaction makes its way to her lips at the taste. not too hot, nor too cold. it had been made just the way she liked, only sitting out long enough to cool down before she’d arrived. no one knew her quite like her brother did— no one spoiled her as much either. in his presence, eunae felt at ease and allowed herself to be vulnerable, just as a child would.
“you, on the other hand, need not compete for my attention. everyone already knows that you’re my favorite sibling. i hope your days are well and that you’re getting enough sleep. are you hungry? shall i ask the staff to ready a meal?”
