Everyone's cute in their own way

      Truthfully he didn’t think much of cats. There’s so many running around the base as is. Wouldn’t hurt to finally hold one though..Orca nodded and had his hand out to carefully hold the kitten.

     Awww..it’s so tiny. He never really cared for cats in the first place, but he is a little flattered that the boss would do that. It’s kinda cute.. Orca just nodded timidly to acknowledge the little feline. Guess that’s another cat added to his giant red bed.

“He sounds really cool! I have a pretty awesome captain too! He’s the first friend I’ve ever had outside of my… erm… parents.” The reindeer was happy to boast of his friends and how overjoyed having them around made him, but her words made him someone curious about her own friends. Maybe he could meet them later.

Chopper glanced aside with a nervous smile. Best not to take away that sense of security, but he’d met Emperors and Warlords that scared him far more than any giant ever would. “Nngh… yeah! You’re right, Diane! If anything, those traffickers should be scared of you!”

Chopper frowned at the woman, feeling bad for putting her on edge after having not seen her in such a long time. “Hey… you shouldn’t get angry, Diane! I promise not to let any human traffickers capture you or any of my friends!” The reindeer assured her, his eyes quivering in a concerned manner as he remembered almost losing his mermaid friend to such monsters.

“Haha! I guess you’re not like the giants of Elbaf at all! Your people sound boring!” He happily laughed off the differences between her village and what his crew had encountered before remembering something serious. “Right… That might be a good idea. Giants are often targeted by slave traders… Those bastards…”

“No! Most of us are human. I’m the only thing like me in the world.” Chopper admitted without the slightest hint of hesitation. The thought of humans being afraid of her almost made him have to hold back a giggle. “You’re not scary. Don’t worry. We’ve already met tons of giants. You’re not so special.”

“You’re one of the nicest giants I’ve ever met! I wanted my crew to meet you!” Chopper admitted, hoping she wasn’t too busy to meet all of his friends.

Chopper stared at his friend for several seconds, taking a small step backward to observe her face for the first time in years. “You’ve been gone for so long. I thought you forgot me!”

“Of course not! You’re my friend!”

“Eh?” Chopper looked up at the woman with a confused gaze. So she did remember him after all?

       The froggy hero never failed to amaze. Such strength in spite of her size, carrying quickly, so effortlessly it seemed. He let out a laugh at her words, holding onto her shoulder. “Well, I’m not gonna say no to that! We’ll make a great team for sure!”
