every post about kris being transfem is met with people saying "ummmmmm i dont think it even matters? why do you caare so much about agab??" *reblogs kris in binder art* "i think its pretty weird to care about a nonbinary persons agab...." *reblogs kris dealing with period cramps art* "its kind of gross youre forcing a freak male monster transwoman reading of the character...." and ive talked about it before but the whole Kris wearing dresses trend was very cute but it was almost entirely done by people being like "heh, (afab) nonbinary people dont owe you androgyny" "mad, bigot?" and not like, a nice thing about a transfem character getting to wear nice stuff

also maybe im reaching with this one but i feel like a lot of people have a sort of underlying knowledge that kris is transfem and they just dont acknowledge it and instead just create a pretend male character (togore) to give all of kris' traits but without the yucky icky tranny traits. (i think some togore stuff is cute but its just another fandom thing where they only give a shit about men. 10000000 spamtenna drawings keep drawing more who gives a shit about all the main characters being women we want spamtenna)

As a Brazilian person, my opinion re: the whole Toby Fox thing is that I understand him wanting to preserve the double entendres and hidden meanings of his game’s text and only being able to do it to the extent he wants to when it comes to Japanese due to the fact he speaks it to a degree but like. Let’s not kid ourselves here, dude. I KNOW why you learned Japanese: it’s because you wanted to play video games in Japanese and watch untranslated anime. That’s why you can make sure your translation is coming across the way you want in Japanese: you understand their memes and pop culture references. The obvious solution to getting your game translated to the degree of precision you want is to find a nerd who learned English because they wanted to play video games in English and watch untranslated cartoons and, as a result, understands American memes and pop culture references.
