I sidle up behind him in the middle of the bookstore  where he stands next to a shelf, reading the dust jacket of a book, wrapping my arms around him from behind. 

He’s taller than me, so I stretch onto my tip toes to press a kiss to the back of his neck and whisper, “Diaper check, Cub.” My fingertips teasing gently along his stomach.

He flushes instantly, taking a step closer to the shelves, wanting to hide. “Mama nooo whyyyyyy.” He complains, trying to pull away from me. I tighten my grip and chuckle. “I don’t need one…”

“Because we have to see if you need a change, baby boy.” I murmur, my hand sliding down his front to his crotch, cupping my hand around the subtle bulge of the diaper and giving it a squeeze. “See? This isn’t too bad, is it, baby?” I comment quietly, feeling him relax in my arms, as he always does when I touch him.  Satisfied that the front of the diaper was okay, i pull away just slightly to lift his shirt and pull the band of the diaper that sticks out of his jeans to check the back. After settling the diaper and his shirt back into place, I pat his bum and I turn him around to press a kiss to his chin. “There’s my good boy. Quick and harmless, yeah?”

“Harmless for you…” He grumbles, turning back around to look at another book on the shelf that I knew for a fact he had no interest in; he just didn’t want to look me in the eyes while he’s blushing. “I don’t need diapers you know.” He swears, glowering at the book he’s holding. “Big boys don’t need diapers.”
