There’s a district in Nagoya, called Osu, that’s famous for its many shops. If you follow these shops, they can lead you to Osu Kannon, a Buddhist temple.

I went by myself to this temple and the first thing I noticed was oddly enough, the pigeons. They were everywhere. After I walked around the grounds of the temple, I saw that there was a little booth where you could buy bird feed for the pigeons.

As soon as I brought out the bird feed, several pigeons jumped onto the plate. These pigeons had no fear. I’m not one for selfies, but I had to use the opportunity to take one. Kind of felt like a dork, but that was the closest animal encounter I had since I got to Japan, so I was happy… even if it was a pigeon haha
