the thing is I wasn't saying he / is// trans, I was simply saying he could be trans, I was leaving an open door for him and tried to create a space where he felt comfortable whether or not he was trans. I feel like he'd be more uncomfortable about people being like "he's cis" bc if he isn't then he could feel a sense of unwelcomeness and that he isn't understood. and just because he hasn't come out doesn't mean we can't say anything, because that's saying he's cis until proven otherwise and that's toxic trans erasing. I get that you think he'd be uncomfortable but it's kind of like the people that say they shouldn't wear seatbelts because the car could flip over and they could be trapped, a lot more damage comes from not wearing a seatbelt than wearing one. Letting him have a safe space where the topic is open and great is as safe / harmless as wearing a seatbelt
