Lare Trek Classic 4 Days - 3 Nights
The Lares Valley is one of the most pictures in the southern part of Cusco, home of many traditional weavers and farmers. The people live day to day, growing and knitting what they eat and wear. Each day is reasonably paced with ample time to enjoy the incredible scenery, to walk is hard but this is incredibly compensated with the landscape, lunch alongside cascading waterfalls, appreciate the life of the Andean farmer and why not we could share time with them to tell us about their activities, this with help of guide.
The Lares valley trek offers a combination of stunning escenry, traditional cultures, and Machu Picchu on the 4th Day. The trek will take you through stunning Mountain secenry, over high passes, and you will spend two nights near traditional Peruvian Villages.
Day 4 you will see the treasures of Machu Picchu with your experinced guide.

Day 1: Cusco – Calca – Lares Hot Springs – HuacaWasi
We will leave Cuso towards Lares at about 7:00 am by bus. During this trip we will pass several archeological sites and handcraft markets in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. In the province of Calca (2940m/9646f) we will first head for the Huaca casi pass (4400m/14436f) and then descend to Lares hot springs (3200m/ 10499f). Here we will have some time to relax in the pools of between 28 and 36 degrees Cº/82 and 97 degrees F. After lunch, we will continue our journey towards Huacawasi (3600m/11811f), where our camping site is situated.

Day 2: HuacaWasi – Ipsay pass – Patacancha Community
The second day is possibly the most beautiful one. After breakfast, we will start a 4-hours hike up to the Ipsay pass (4400m/14436f). Up there, we will visit some families that live from agriculture and textile design, inspired by their Andean gods. There after, we will head down to the village of Patacancha (3650m/11975f), our camping site.

Day 3: Patacancha Community – Willoq – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes
The third day is also spectacular: we will visit several communities and indigenous towns such as Willoq (3400m/11156f), Pumamarca (3200m/10499f) and Ollantaytambo (2850m/9350f), whereas the latter is considered to be the last citadel of the Incas, constructed according to Incan architecture. From Ollantaytambo we will take the train to Aguas Calientes (2050m/6726f), where we will spend the night in a hotel.
Hiking time: approx. 6 hours
Day 4: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco
We will leave our hotel after breakfast at 5:30 am and head for Machu Picchu (2400m/7874f) by tourist bus. We will arrive at the citadel around 6:00 am. After a guided tour around the archeological site, including information about life and culture of the Incas, you will have enough time to enjoy Machu Picchu and Wayna Picchu (2750m/9022f) on your own. We will leave Aguas Calientes by train either at 2:55 pm or at 6:10 pm. Until then, you will have time to have lunch in one of the nice restaurants. Moreover, you can visit the hot springs in Aguas Calientes to relax a bit.
· Collection from your hotel in the morning and transfer in private transportation to Lares (starting point of the trek)
· Personal tents: 2 people in each 4-people-capacity tent, to allow for higher comfort and a safe keeping of backpacks.
· English speaking professional and official tourist guide (2 guides for groups of over 8 people)
· Chef and cooking equipment
· Accommodation in Aguas Calientes or Machupicchu
· Pack animals (to carry tents, food and cooking equipment) – days 1 to 3
· 1 Bag or daffor bag where you can out maximum of 6kg per person (including sleeping pad and sleeping bag) – days 1 to 3(we are going to carry in our horses)
· 1 emergency horse every 8 persons – days 1 to 3
· Meals (03B, 03L, 03D + daily morning snack + daily tea service except last day). Vegetarian or special menus are available at no extra cost
· One textile snack bag per person, to avoid the usage of plastic bags that contaminate our environment
· Bio-degradable personal hand soaps
· Others: hot water every morning and evening for washing purposes / boiled water to fill in your water bottle every morning and night, and at lunch time if requested with enough time ahead
