A colourful monochrome

Generally speaking, it was in Alfred’s nature to put on a brave face and pretend there was absolutely nothing weighing him down. That was his life philosophy, after all, was it not?

And Al would treat this no differently. He’d keep a stiff upper lip — just as he was taught to — even though he’d found himself in a ( relatively ) unknown place in ( literally ) the blink of an eye. He was always so used to having someone he was familiar with around; be it Arthur, Matthew, whoever.

Without anyone there, however, Al was, well, a little nervous, to put it lightly. Regardless, he couldn’t spend four plus years here without getting to know someone, so it looked like it was time for him to use that confidence he was known for and start talking to someone.

Looks like he found his lucky helper. 

"So, I'm actually new here too." She forced a chuckle. Years of pretending to be happy has boosted her acting skills quite a bit. Swinging her bags onto her shoulder, she glanced around, before flashing another smile.
