‘Oh, uh, yeah. Sorry, I guess I just zoned out while thinking and didn’t realize.’

‘I can keep you safe. It’s the only time we would be able to go out if you want me to talk to your hermano, Katerina. Unless you want to track him in the daylight and when you find him, we go out at dusk?’

   i find that hard to believe.

          “What is it, huh?”      She narrows her eyes slightly, but still takes his hand, curiously.

                      ‘It’s called a surprise, corazón.’     He takes her hand, and whisks them through crowds of dusk gatherers so they could meet         their destination. And it would be a sweet surprise on his part, that he hopes she will          love.
