カシャンの奇妙な冒険

Annnnd last things we did before leaving was check out the Iolani Palace, get some Helena’s and go to Shimazu for some shaved ice and furikake popcorn!

On Tuesday I put together a boat tour! It’s run by a conservationist group so you can only get as close as the wildlife initiates! We still were swimming with wild dolphins and turtles and all kinds of fish! It was amazing!!!

For dinner we went to Shokudo because Nina and I really wanted to try honey toast!

Sunday was pretty calm again and I got to leave a bit to go look around the Ala Moana Mall! It’s huge and multi-leveled and open air and I’d never seen something like that before *___* Lots of ponds with fish, too!

We went to Shirokiya and I was able to get some delicious black garlic ramen! There was so much food to choose from I wish I’d been able to eat more.. but the ramen was filling enough! Nina and I each got a different Sakura cake and split them back at the table. They were both so delicious with different textures and such nice soft flavor.

On the way out of the con after breaking down they told us to go out the back way since our carts might scratch the floor. Which was strange since we were allowed in the front..? So we listened and went out the back through the elevator like they said but the staff just led us around and had us go down some stairs which spit us out in the lobby anyhow..

I just.. walked across it and then told the staff what happened because we would have been screwed if we had anything other than regular luggages..

Anyway. We were able to catch a beautiful sunset from the deck of the apartment and then went to get dinner at a sushi place in Kamehameha shopping center.

After we watched the Sunrise we went to Liliha Bakery to pick up some sweets for later on, and to Maguro Bros for some fresh breakfast! I got the spicy mayo ahi poke and chu-toro. It was so delicious, I could cry!

My dinner that night was just some snacks from the 711.. curry chicken manapua and spam musubi with egg. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about Spam Musubi but to be honest it was really good and I’d like to have it again haha

Jonny Cruz had a signing that night, too, so Nina and I waited in line and got some photos with him! He also signed our badges and I gave him the little Lucio pin I made TT____TT he’s such a charming person and so friendly, it was really nice to meet him! It’s always nice when people are kind and care about their fans since I’ve heard some cases of famous people blowing off meet and greets and etc..

Anyway, it was nice!!!

On Saturday we woke up early to go to Leonard’s Bakery for some Malasadas! After that we went to Ala Moana Park to watch the sun rise over Waikiki on the beach! It was a good choice. Watching the sun rise like that was really stunning, especially since the clouds were still heave over the mountains to our left. 

We got a little of each flavor but my favorite will always be classic Custard!

The first day was all air travel.. or as I like to put it “plane day, hope you like planes!” It was  about 14 or so hrs travel..sleeping on planes is hard for me and with the anxiety that wasn’t really possible.

But we got there fine and on time and checked in with the airbnb host! The location ended up being convenient and the apartment itself was quite nice! It’s right around the corner from the Kamehameha shopping center, and has a deck that overlooks the small cemetery across the street.

On Friday we woke up early and went to the shopping center. Nina and I got Coconut Frappuccinos with Thai Walls (which is condensed milk drizzle on the side). They’re special to Hawaii :)

After that we went to the con center and got settled in. Our table setup was easy, the check-in was easy! Nina and Hannah brought us food! I got a Loco Moco which was quite good and filling for the day! 

I ended up going to 711 as well and got some snacks. Calpico, Hurricaine Popcorn, Butter Mochi, Li Hing candy. Pat brought some snacks from the mall, too!

The first day was overcast outside, which I didn’t mind. And the traffic to the table was slow, which can happen on Fridays.

I took a little walk to CocoIchi for dinner +____+ god I’ve missed them..

👀 👀 👀  so um got into Kawaiikon so we’ll be going to that uhhhh on Thursday... I’m so excited.. this is my first time going to Hawaii and I can’t wait to see everything ;3; the weather is gonna be so nice.. and we have 2 free days too before we gotta come back! our flight back is on tuesday but it’s really late so we get that full day..  I really want to organize a bus tour and a boat/scuba tour while we’re there too..!!

Nothing too interesting right now but posting excitedly because I got accepted to vend at Dokomi again and my friend is going to be hosting a panel there as well! It’ll be our first time travelling internationally together so it’s really exciting!

We don’t have our flights yet since we’re still watching for the best opportunity and it’s still very far out (May) but I set up our lodging already ^^ 

For Dusseldorf a simple chain hotel near the airport for convenience. But the rooms are nice while inexpensive!

After Dokomi we’ll go to Prague/Czech Republic for 3 days! And there I’ve booked us a really interesting boutique hotel room *o* The decor is minimalist and reminds us of eclipses/werewolves (awoooo)!!

They also have a bar and laser tag on the roof haha..
