the two fanon interpretations i see most often are either “steve is a sweet little artist who stays out of trouble and bucky is a bad boy ladies man who smokes and steals liquor” and “steve is a righteous do-gooder who gets into fights for defending what is good and just and bucky is constantly fretting after him and fussing over him” when in reality steve is just fucking insane and gets into fistfights with strangers just to feel something and bucky is just so tired of his bullshit he’s not even really worried, just sighs and bails him out and goes “sometimes i think you LIKE getting punched, oh you had him on the ropes of fucking course you did”
