Mystic Pearl information first:Ā A Mystic pearl is a iridescent pearl that contains magical abilities strong enough to contain a whole merfolk/sirenfolk civilization away from Humans, it could however contain transformation magic that could be used to make potions to add to Shell necklaces in order to create a system where one can transform between Human and Sea creature
In this world, there are land creatures and sea creatures. Most, if not all Sea creatures, have been hunted by land creatures for hundreds of years, it never mattered whether they were friends or foes, Humans never showed any form of mercy.
Hence why the Merfolk and Sirenfolk have a barrier from the sea to the land, that only those with the mystic pearl can open. The only ones who can access the mystic pearl is the Royal Family of the underwater kingdom of Novoselic. However one day, the princess foolishly allowed one of her closest friends through the barrier so he could explore outside of the kingdomās clean waters, and he hadnāt returned.
The friend the Princess had trusted, is a Male siren named Gundham Tanaka. The reason for his absence was because he was curious about the outside world above the water but whenever he would stick his head up, odd Purple-ish blue scales would appear along on the side of the face.Ā
He still wouldnāt give up hope, and thats when he found a creature he had never seen before fall deep into the oceans waters, the body still conscious but slowly drowning. He had never seen such an odd specimen that carried two tails before, or at least thats what he thought they were. biological differences between Sirens/Mermaids and Humans werenāt mentioned upon his kind, but some part of him could still tell the young man was near death so he brought him up to his boat and fled.
He had eventually stumbled upon a sea witch who declared herself as the āQueen of Despairā who promised to give him the ability to explore the land as he has always dreamed, in order to do so she had him use some of his hair, scales, and magic of the Mystic Pearl in order to create a Shell necklace with a spell cast on it. As soon as he put it on, he had found himself suffocating before urgently swimming above land where he fell on a beach shore.
A Captain of a nearby ship named Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu had found him on his own, a few scales plastered on his body but otherwise a completely unclothed human male that he has..seen before? He comes to quickly realize that this is the male that had saved him from nearly drowning so he wrapped his jacket around his waist and moved him to a nearby cave where he created a campfire so they can temporarily stay in.
