My introduction was my dad. He would play his albums for me as a toddler, and for some reason when I was home sick from school, I would ask him to specifically play his albums(usually XO). I always thought it was interesting that I found his music comforting and healing as a child, and that as an adult, his music sustained its healing nature. I love sharing this story, it definetely comes from the heart:) I would love to hear other people’s introductions!

I don’t really know what I’ll be doing with this blog, but I’ll see where it takes me. I just really wanted to dedicate a page to his incredible artistry and provide a platform where fellow fans of his can commiserate and bond over his work. I noticed there’s a lot of Elliott smith blogs that haven’t been active in a while, so I’m happy to contribute to reversing that!
