Nonnie, sending NSFW to minors is a huge problem. Them drawing lolisho is gross but ultimately harmless. Focus on the actual problem, because if you include something ultimately harmless with something ultimately actually dangerous, people aren’t going to take you seriously about the actual harm being done.
Anon, I think there’s a misunderstanding; they said “minors’ characters,” meaning characters that belong to a minor, not “minor characters.”
And when we’re talking about someone who is already behaving inappropriately toward kids, their involvement with lolish*ta content isn’t an isolated, harmless hobby. It shows a pattern of sexualizing children, fictional or not, while also directly engaging with real minors in questionable ways.
When someone is actively targeting minors, that interest becomes highly relevant. It reinforces that they view minors in a sexual context. Ignoring it would be like dismissing evidence that someone with a history of abuse is also writing violent fantasies. Maybe the writing alone isn’t illegal, but in the larger context it points to a very real risk.
Sending explicit material to minors is the central harm, but their lolish*ta fixation adds a LOT of context that strengthens why people should take the danger seriously.
I’m not tagging this with the usual blog tags, just adding appropriate content warnings instead.
But TL;DR: a predator’s fixation on lolish*ta, while they’re actively engaging with real children, is a serious concern and absolutely a big deal. - 🐈
