I dont understand how someone writing gay fanfiction of Micheal is anymore "disrespectful" than someone writing regular fanfiction. It's all entirely fictional and you cannot police what fictional work someone writes. That's like fandom 101. I haven't seen anyone on here or other platforms try to insinuate that Micheal was queer irl. This discourse also seems very parasocial not none of us knew that man and what fan works he would've condemned. He disliked having his sexuality questioned in his real life yes but that was his real life. Like I think it's all sorta silly but also even if you don't like what someone creates you shouldn't send them rude things. I also don't think anyone is saying Micheal was gay but these creators are gay and want to enjoy fanfic any their faves like everyone else. As always I'm open to hearing people out whose opinions differ in order to gain more insight.
