#cultureeditfunfact ❗️ From art to design. In 2014 @andreasson.joakim @cultureedit invited the guys at @tomoffinlandfoundation to do a collection of art rugs and decorative pillows for @henzelstudio. The designing of the pillows was quite the process! Joakim asked the guys at the Foundation for an abundance of vintage printed material of Tom’s drawings, and then he went to work creating three handmade collages across massive canvases. This took serval weeks across late nights to create. He didn't go to art school for nothing :) 👏 The canvases were thereafter photographed and cropped into six panels used as artwork for 3 pillow designs that launched at Barneys New York Madison Avenue. They are currently sold on our site as well as @artspace, among other fine retailers. Take a look at these behind the scenes images. We may appear big - but the realization of our projects is extremely hands-on. The collages where later on made available as printed rugs as well. We will over the next few days take you down memory lane and show what it's taken to help get this brand brand where it is today. We’ll start with Tom of Finland coffee by Finnish coffee staple @robertpauligroastery, ☕️ who took at chance on us and launched two different strengths of coffee, each avaialbe in packaging that featured a choice of 4 bold drawings by the artist..The coffee was distributed exclusively in Finland at major grocery and specialty stores.
