Array yaaron...the time has come to retire from this fantastically fun Tumblr. Allow me to say thank you, thank you to diehard fans all over the world who sent in such sweet notes (thinking of you, Sanya823) and fun IRL anecdotes.

I would also like to take this opportunity to extend my warmest appreciation to ItsDataBlue (from India), Manish R. (India), Paalllo G. (Canada), and Xara D. (Greece) who shared additional images/tidbits/translations from their online Bollywood spelunking adventures. And, special thanks to the few fans who shared selfies from the 80s! Without you – dear friends – this Tumblr wouldn’t have gone as far as it did.

Me? I’m officially one degree away from KG. So...I’ll be heading to the Starlight in Goa to have a peg of whiskey with our hero shero soon enough...

How much thought went into Bunty’s imagining of Nihal Singh for Gang? Plenty if you go by these photos. About Nihal: we  hoped for a crisis of conscience that never happened. As such, we don’t believe in him, we never really fear him; and because we don’t fear him we come to pity his naive ambitions to become the next petty drug kingpin of Mumbai. Lean, taut one-liners were a win. Actually, this was narco-content at its best. His best, actually. 

If you watched the film closely, you see actually see one of these photos framed and hung on the wall behind Jackie when he’s going off about joining the dark side. It’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, but it’s there. Now, that’s what makes for a true, diehard #KGFan.

Part leather/part bomber, this jacket brings a perfect off-duty sense of chic. 

I can't be the only one who SEES THIS???

This scarf's laid back vibes worked because the piece itself was a thin silk. As seen in Teri Kasam (and in this filmy spread), the look worked for me as it was  paired with his usual bad boy hair and was a striking combo of colours. The only thing missing? A hipster scruff that would have aced the look.

Plaid was a recurring theme in so many of his fashionably hip characters. Here - Bunty being all rock-and-roll with his statement checks. He was  kind of like a cool lumbersexual of sorts, both aggressively attached to the traditionally 80s masculine look but completely removed from the gauche fashion lifestyle that Bollywood perpetuates still to this day. #MahaMeh
