all I’m saying is Stephanie Meyer really had great opportunity to make Lauren a shapeshifter as well to throw more drama into the story after she had her hair cut. Like idk maybe Lauren became a panther shifter or something and that brought about real werewolves, and the cullens + pack had to focus on dealing with the newborns and trying to destroy the wolves with the help of snarky Lauren who surprisingly bonds with Jake and they spend time cracking jokes at the vamps expense??? and bc I like the thought Paul imprints on Lauren and maybe Lauren as a panther shift does something similar but not quite??
