Pearl accepted the hand, giving it a hearty shake. “Glad we reached an agreement,” he teased, nose scrunching playfully. “Now watch and learn,” he murmured, leaning back in his chair with a wide grin.
"Uh huh, we'll see," Dia teased, watching as well. Though even with the bet going on, he did steal little glances back over at Pearl. He smiled to himself, taking a drink of soda.

"Well I don’t want you to get taken down by a horde of kindergarteners," he countered, though he couldn’t keep a grin off his face. He was pretty sure the kids on the subway weren’t actually cannibals but you never knew. "Alright. Loser buys the next soda/?" Not that he minded either way to be fair.
"You have yourself a deal," Dia said softly, smile bright in the light of the screen. He held out his hand for a handshake to make it official, even if buttery fingers were less than official.

Pearl nodded. “Yep. Just hordes of them milling around the cars waiting for unsuspecting victims,” he added with a low laugh. “I don’t wanna ride the subway though.” His nose scrunched playfully. “please, I’ll bet the next soda that it’s this chick.”
"If they make a movie, we have to go see it," Dia laughed softly, smiling at Pearl. "But I'd keep you safe from even the scariest kindergartener," he added, kissing Pearl's cheek. "And I'll get in on that bet."

"Yeah and I heard the only train in town has a bunch of bloodthirsty kindergartners looking to battle," he snickered, stealing a piece of sour candy as one of the girls decided to separate from the group on screen. "And we have our first victim," he laughed quickly, shaking his head when she was cursing at her phone’s dead battery.
"Now that's scary," Dia laughed, able to imagine a terrible B movie of those kindergarteners. He nodded at Pearl's comment. "Unless they're trying to trick us and they'll cut to a couple having sex. Because then we know they're going down," he chuckled.

Pearl snorted every so softly and popped a piece of sour candy in his mouth. “Like I’d be honest about that, silly,” he teased, shaking his head before snagging the soda. Which wasn’t entirely true, it really depended on the circumstances for him to lie under the best of times. “But I don’t want to get kicked out.”
"Yeah, especially since this is the only theater within walking distance and neither of us have a car," Dia chuckled softly, snacking on some more popcorn before reaching for the soda.

He hmmed and mulled that over, nodding a littel bit. He hoped that the shrieking wouldn’t get too bad,though he supposed they could go and complain if nothing else. Even if he thought that was sort of silly. “I’d rather do that seoncd one,” he confessed. “Less likely to get us kicked out of the theater."
"Yeah, maybe. Though I don't think we'd get away without a firm talking to for throwing food at poor girls just trying to have fun," he teased with a soft laugh. "But it is more fun that just moving to another theater."

Pearl snickered at the girls in front of them and shook his head. “Yeah it is. As long as they don’t scream too much it’ll be ok,” he agreed, not really fazed by the trailers. They weren’t that scary but that’s what happened when you saw movies that teenage girls were at.
"If they do, we can always movie hop and check out another one," Dia said with a soft laugh. Though he found the screams hilarious, he could also see how it would get old fast. "or we can throw popcorn at them until they leave," he added, smile bright even in the darkness of the theater.

He couldn’t help the bright smile and the faint blush the crept up his cheeks at that. “Me too,” he whispered in agreement, stealing a bit of popcorn for himself. He squirmed nervously at the closeness when Dia was near him, though he liked having the brunette so close. “I think it’s going well though,” he breathed, not really paying all that much attention to the previews.
it being a horror movie, naturally all the trailers were for horror movies as well. And one trailer already drew a small shriek from a girl and giggles from her companions, both nervous and laughing at her fear. Dia chuckled to himself. "Well this is going to be fun," he murmured lowly.

His cheeks pinked a little at that teasing, that double entendre registering relatively quickly before he berated himself for his mind being in the gutter. He settled for watching Dia eat the snack before trying some himself, popping the little piece of candy in his mouth. “True. Even if this movie’s awful, I’m having a blast with you,” he answered, settling with a wiggle as the previews started.
Dia smiled brightly at Pearl's promise, leaning over to kiss his cheek when the lights dimmed. "I'm glad to hear it. I really want our first real date to go well," he murmured softly while he was leaned in, not wanting to disturb anyone in the theater. While he was close, he couldn't help but love the smell of Pearl's shampoo, even if he had smelled the shampoo out of the bottle before. It was just much more appealing on Pearl than by itself.

"Oh yeah? I’m a pretty lucky guy then?" he teased, settling in the seat with a little wiggle. The movement beside him caught his attention and he watched his boyfriend curiously. "I forgot you wanted to do that," he murmured, staring in rapt fascination. He was glad the houselights were still up so he could watch, though he did notice when they started to dim. "Lets hope this is good, shall we," he whispered, nudging Dia’s shoulder with his own.
"Maybe," Dia teased, though maybe that slight flirtatiousness added a slightly raunchier tone to the joke than he intended. He smiled a touch shyly as he gave the bag a careful little shake to let some of the chocolate candy settle farther down in the bag. He grabbed a few pieces of popcorn and a piece of the candy and popped it in his mouth so he wouldn't say anything else that was stupid. "It should be fun," Dia finally said, nudging him back with a smile.

Pearl looked around, arms laden with snacks and glad that the house lights hadn’t gone down just yet. There were a few groups that he could spot and he it made him grin to realize that they had so many that would probably start freaking out at what promised to be a goofy movie.
He finally found him in the back row and started making his way there, weaving around a few couples that were deliberating over where to sit. Once there, he headed for Dia, settling in the open seat beside him. “Hey there, this seat taken?” he asked, putting the soda between them.”
Dia smiled, watching Pearl. He helped his boyfriend unload the snacks so he could settle in easier. "Well I was meeting some guy, but you're pretty cute so I think I'd much rather sit with you," he teased softly, grinning. He popped open the box of buncha crunch and started sprinkling them in the popcorn.

Pearl grinned widely, “Well if you want, if we remember, next time we’ll swap," he teased, wiggling a little at the kiss to his cheek. “I trust your judgement about seats though." He watched his long time friend head off for the theatre they were in before he focused on the line. There were only a few people ahead of him and that was alright, it gave hiim time to decide on what he was getting.
Eventually though, he got to the cashier and put in an order for a large popcorn, the bunch a crunch stuff Dia had wanted, a large soda and box of sour skittles. It wasn’t long before he had snacks in hand and heading for the numbered theatre, slipping inside to try and find his boyfriend.
Dia walked into the theater, glad that the real previews hadn't even started yet. He walked up the stairs, noticing a few groups that seemed promising to be very entertaining. A large group of five girls already chittered nervously and egged each other on about how scary the movie would be.
He sidestepped his way along the back aisle, settling in the middle and propping his feet up on the seat in front of him while he waited for Pearl. This would be a great view of their fellow moviegoers as well as the screen.

Pearl snorted. “I bet the guy behind the snack counter knows what it is too," he teased, sticking his tongue out as he slipped inside. “So I wouldn’t have to know what it is." He preened, far too proud of himself as he sauntered up the counter. “Besides, I wanna pay for everything."
"I hope you know that I'm very reluctantly agreeing to this," he said, kissing Pearl's cheek. "But I'll go get us good seats in the back so we can people watch," he promised, smiling.
"See you soon," he added, leaving Pearl and taking this moment of having his back to Pearl to grin like a madman. He felt so amazing with Pearl and he had to let it out in one big goofy grin.

Pearl chuckled lightly and grabbed Dia’s hand as they headed for the door. “Will you now?" he teased, bouncing a bit before grabbing the door to hold it open. “I’m soooo terrified," he teased. “Now, you wanna grab seats while I get the snacks?"
"Or you could save the seats and I can get the snacks," Dia said with a grin, stepping inside and to the side so he could try and prop the door open for Pearl in return. "Since I actually know what Buncha Crunch are," he laughed.

"Yeah, I think so. It looked amusing at least," he agreed, leaning forward to request two tickets for the film. Of course, when asked, he did pull out his id, snagging his card as he did so to pay for the tickets and be uber sneaky.
Dia smiled slightly, half considering darting inside to pay for their refreshments, but he knew he wouldn't get far without his ticket. "I'll get you back," he threatened as if he were slighted.

"I don’t know what it is. I’ve never had it. But ok! I’m game to try that," he answered. He stared at the board, frowning a bit in thought. “I bet…that we can catch the next showing of Cabin in the Woods…that shouldn’t be too full. What do you think?"
Dia nodded in approval. "That sounds good to me," he said with a grin. "Bound to at least make us chuckle," he added, leading Pearl up to the ticket counter to get their tickets.

"Buncha crunch? What the devil is that?" he asked, giving his boyfriend a curious stare. “I usually just eat regular popcorn but I’m game to try most things once," he finally decided, Dia’s smile freakishly infectious. He led them to the theatre, staring at the showtimes. “What do we want to see?"
Dia stared as if Pearl was speaking Klingon. "You don't know what Buncha Crunch is? That's it, you're trying it," he said with a grin. He looked up at the board, trying to pick which horror flick promised the most laughs. "looks like we have a few to choose from..."
