I’ve watched this episode 4 times in the last two days. There are so many good moments in it. That 7th gif alone. ;)

OK, I somehow missed this post before. It’s delightful – and quite “meta” by the standards of the day. I mean, Danny’s rehearsin’ a sketch in his mind – and Kathy (through no real fault of her own) just isn’t settin’ the scene right. It’s very akin to how couples try to support one another – but so often aren’t on the same page … .

BTW, the line about the “monkey’s uncle” amuses me b/c Danny’s great friend Annette Funicello – who guested on his show – starred in a Disney film of the same name. That said, I *still* have no idea what a “monkey’s uncle” actually is, LOL!!!

The House He Built For His Rose...

I hesitated in posting this, because some jerk(s) decided to tear it down - breaks my heart, really. But it’s such a testament to the love Danny had for his Rose Marie, that he built her such a beautiful mansion. I have many more photos, it was a magnificent home, on 2.5 acres of prime Beverly Hills real estate, but I only wanted to show the outer wall, & the entrance.

You could only build a one story residence, but he got around that by building a lower level you can only see from the back, so the front is in compliance. Built in 1970, demolished approximately 50 years later.

‘Villa Rosa’ on one side of the gates, on the other side, 'Beatus qui intellegit cur natus sit.' Blessed is he who understands why he was born.
