Haha big question but nah we had our distance issues and the distance still remains. He said a couple days ago that if I lived closer, he’d pick me over literally anyone else, but i don’t see us living in the same place anytime soon so now I’m just happy with how comfortable our friendship is like giving each other advice, calling almost every night even if it’s just to sleep LOL and just having him be one of my best friends again.

I thought it was uncommon to stay friends too but I guess a lot of people try. I haven’t even posted most of the messages I’m getting about this (don’t wanna spam) but yeah it’s nice to hear people attempt to maintain healthy friendships 

But I know the opposite is true where him being friends with me makes the new girl insecure but 🤷🏽‍♀️

LOL I’ve always been able to maintain good friendships with people after. Even if they are angry about something they always come back, but I’m not complaining 🤷🏽‍♀️But def don’t attempt it unless you’re fully comfortable 

Honestly that stuff can only be ok if you’re both on the same page. My ex says this too and I’m totally ok with it cause your friendship evolved that way since we never had a falling out, but if you’re not, you can’t be repeating it to him and reinforcing that behavior. Make it clear that you don’t like it and you don’t see a future with him

hm I think he might be trying to make you jealous in that case because it’s not hard to just avoid a topic lol. I think you should put things into perspective for him, like say “if I was seeing someone, you wouldn’t want to hear about them 24/7.” Like my ex is seeing someone too and it doesn’t bother me, he doesn’t talk about her much though unless he’s feeling unsure or needs advice on issues he sees with her which I’m ok with so maybe tell him youre fine with giving him advice and stuff (so he knows you’re not jealous) but it’s boring to constantly talk about 1 thing. He’ll naturally try to be less boring because his ego will kick in 

nope the last person I officially dated was in 2018 LOL but we just besties now 

Noo we were never official, we had a thing for 3 months or so but he was always training in the states and i told him I didn’t want to do the whole distance thing and I guess he felt like I had led him on, but I think he gets it now. The pics were on my other page @canadian and I took them down months ago because he blocked me on social media for a while LOL but now we are cool again
