the peak episode is mind blowing
i have so much to say about this episode. first of all, its so incredible to me how rhett and link can transform literally anything into a theatrical, deeply alterous but comedic replica of their relationship over the years, like in all if their short films and skits and videos like theres just that overarching theme of their hyperspecific fears and experiences, like if you just watch the video, they turned this game into a full short film with like rising action climax, disputes, falling action, just by their words and moving the characters, its just agggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh they are to intelligent and creative and you can never get enough cause theres always more layers to see. i dont knowww. BUT SECOND OF ALL im deceased at the fact that later that night they DID GOOD MYTHCIAL EVENING SLOSHED IN SPACE. and we alllllllllllllll know what happened there. whatever im SO NORMAL :DDDDDDDDDD ABOUT :DDDDDDDDDDDD IT ALL :DDDDDDDDDDDDDD
whatever comes instead of GME this year better be something that involves loud and clear respected CONSENT and BOUNDARIES from ALL parties involved, thank you.
After a ton of procrastinating, here’s the final edit!!

I think Link is lying, here's an analysis about what was said about the fall (starts around 10:09)
"It took the... from the way my bike was laying afterward, I guess it took a hard left..." Right at the start, he stumbles ("It took the..."), stop, and shift to analyzing the aftermath. If he was fully conscious, he wouln't need to look at how the bike was laying afterward to guess what it did; he would have felt it happen. Saying "I guess" here implies a sudden gap in time between hitting the divot and being in the air.
"...and I'm throwing the shoulder down and I'm doing a roll... And then I... I think my knees hit the ground. Or I think I actually think my knees hit the bike..." He goes from a very vivid description of flying through the air to a sudden cloudiness about the actual impact. He is certain about what he tried to do (the roll, most likely because that's what he did last time), but he's guessing about what his body actually did. If he blacked out the second his shoulder hit the ground, his brain would naturally try to "fill in the blanks" afterward with what makes sense ("I think my knees hit...").
"...and then I like rolled over and I immediately like it was one I had the dead arm." A classic sign of a brief concussion or "getting your bell rung" is waking up already on the ground, disoriented, with a sudden rush of pain. Coming to and immediately realizing your arm doesn't work can feel like a continuous timeline, even if you were out.
Why else was he lying? the phrase "my brain is so quick" as a praise to oneself in the middle of guessing/recounting the events could be self-soothing for "feeling so bad" or varnish to avoid recounting a total tale of shame (a sign of a good liar is to add an element of embarrassment), the mention of the birds and voltures, complete zoom out included in the story makes it so that we're given every single angle (notice all the "characters" he added are speaking) except his own during and briefly after the fall.
Needless to say for body language, the fidgeting quiets down as soon as we get over the lying part and get to the aftermath.
