“jj?” she called out, a head popped out from the bathroom as she was still getting prepared the outfit that has been chosen from various choices of lingerie. she wasn’t confident in herself just yet, she knew that she still had a long way to go before being happy within her skin. but around jj, she felt some hints of confidence. that she can be loved within her body whether she loves it or not. “are you busy?”

“no, my dear. i’m just reading.” the figure hunched up in bed grunted, pressing up on his elbows to look over at her. as he caught sight of her, his grip on the book loosened at it slipped to rest on the bed as he struggle to keep his mouth closed. “mmm, someone looks ravishing.” he smiled, and motioned for her to join him on the bed with a quirk  of his brow. “c’mere.”

the ablility to feel some comfort within themselves as well as within the comfort of jj’s touch is something that they or rather she wanted for her life. to have someone who understood that this is what she was and society can fuck themselves if they managed to think differently. but they had their doubts of becoming a she. what if jj left them during the process? which is completely unlikely but the thought of it happening was likely to someone like them. someone like her. “are you going to keep on playing with my wig until it falls off or what?”

it was late and jj was tired, happy to simply lay and embrace harper. his fingers entwined in her hair, and he twirled the strands lazily, head pressed into her neck. this was the most relaxed he’d been for  long time, and it seemed to him that she was too. it was lovely - they could always be themselves around each other, no matter what, and jj didn’t care that harper wanted to transition. he knew they would still be the same person he fell in love with, and as long as she was happy, he would be too. “mhm.” he mumbled, lips brusing their skin.
