Crown Tundra National Pokemon Reserve

A large national pokemon reserve in the Crown Tundra, Galar. Our main reasearch and outreach center is located in Freezington, but we work all over, from Snowslide Slope to the Frigid Sea! Our objective is to protect, conserve, and study native pokemon species. We do a variety of work, including rehabilitation, education, conservation, research, and taking care of pokemon who cannot live in the wild.

Meet the Staff:

Lucy- Our IT and public outreach person! She runs our social medias, including this blog, as well as helping with data from our field reasearch. Her pokemon team consists of Porygon2 and Rotom. She also has Snowy, an extremely lazy Glaceon.

Aoife- Our primary Ranger. She takes care of things like trail maintenance, field research, and potential threats both to and from wild pokemon. Her team is Dragonite, Sirfetch'd, Braviary, Roserade, and Gastrodon.

Franky- Junior Ranger apprenticing under Aoife. He enjoys helping out with research, running local pokemon education programs, and tinkering with the equipment. His pokemon are Klang, Appletun, and Carkol.

Bridget- A marine biology student who is doing her thesis on water type pokemon adaptions to cold environments. She takes care of anything marine, including research and caretaking. They did a semester abroad in Sinnoh. Her pokemon are Lapras, Sealeo, and a male Basculegion. She is also raising a Kabuto named Cheeseburger.

This blog was made to help educate people about the native pokemon of the Crown Tundra and to spread awareness about national parks and pokemon reserves. We hope you enjoy learning about the wonderful pokemon, and we hope to see you soon at the CTNPR!

Hello, I'm Franky! Nice to meet all of you, even through Rotomblr. I go by he/him pronouns. I'm a Junior Assistant Ranger here, apprenticing under Aoife. I also have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Anville in Unova. My favorite Ranger duty is definitely talking to kids about pokemon!

Team:

Axel - Klang

I met Axel when I was in Anville. He had been living in one of the disused trains, but when it was put back into service, he was dislodged. I offered to take him in, and we've been partners since!

Snapper - Appletun

I took care of Snapper when he had been abandoned by his former trainer. He's still a fairly nervous guy, but is much calmer now and enjoys meeting kids.

Thomas - Carkol

Thomas was one of the first pokemon I met in the Crown Tundra. Aoife was showing me around, and suddenly he popped out and challenged me to a battle! He's passionate, but also has a tendency to laze about when there's no work to do.

Hey! My name’s Aoife (and before you ask, it’s pronounced Ee-feh, not Ay-oi-fee or Ow-ife). I’m the primary Ranger here at CTNPR. I've been working as a Ranger for twenty some years now, and I know quite a bit about pokemon by now. I believe Lucy did a pretty good job of outlining my duties in the intro post, but incase you missed it, I'm the one who does most of the outdoorsy stuff around here.

Team:

Guinevere - Dragonite

Guinevere's been my partner since she was a tiny Dratini. She's very calm and level headed, and often acts as a mediator for aggressive pokemon.

Gawain - Sirfetch'd

Gawain- like most Sirfetch'd- is chivalrous and noble. I met him during a call about a wild pokemon fighting everyone who tried to cross a bridge and sure enough, he was there. After Guin and I beat him, he decided to come with us.

Eigyr - Braviary

Eigyr is a bit of a mother hen. She was taken into Ranger custody with a broken wing as a chick, and was deemed too domesticated to be returned to the wild. I took her in as a teammate afterwards, as I had been her primary caretaker.

Galahad - Roserade

Galahad is another pokemon from a Ranger mission. He was taken by poachers when he was a Roselia due to his shiny colouration, but by the time we had reached the poachers, he had been accidently exposed to a shiny stone. He escaped and defeated the poachers before our arrival, and decided to join us. He has... a bit of an ego to say the least.

Percival - Gastrodon

Percy is another pokemon I helped raise after his home was demolished for housing development. He's still fairly young and cheerful, and is good with kids.

Hihihii! I’m Lucy, the social media and public face of CTNPR! I’m also the main software gal here, so I end up working with a lot of the raw data we get. I grew up in Wyndon, but my family is from here originally.

Sprite was my first real partner, and I actually helped code him! He's super helpful and smart, so you might see him interacting on this account.

Pix - Rotom

I met Pix when he was trapped in an old phone. With a little bit of finagling, me and Sprite helped get him out. He's really sarcastic and bossy, but he's sweet at heart! <3

Snowy - Glaceon

I’ve had Snowy for a long time- my mum gave her to me when I was little. She’s much more of a lazy pet these days than a real battler, but she’s still as mischievous as when she was a kit.
