“We all have those days,” Dawn answered, turning around so she could face the grounds as well. “They’re normal. Feeling… frustrated, confused, scared, is normal. What’s important is being able to pick yourself up again after the fact.”

Dawn shifts so her back is against the railing, listening carefully to what the girl has to say, her head cocked to the side. “Sometimes I do,” she replies after a small moment of silence, nodding in agreement. “This life can be a lot. But… at the end of the day, think of all the good we’re doing. All the people we’re helping. Doesn’t that make it worth it?”

crystal nodded. she has also felt that way before -- when she first arrived. “i understand. it’s quite overwhelming.” she held a hand out. “my name is crystal. i’ll try to answer every question you may have. first off, we’re in the seventies. you have traveled through time to help us. i’m assuming you were brought here without your consent?”

crystal stopped making the ground underneath the figure vibrate subtly. still no response from the unconscious man. “i’ve been trying to wake him up for the last few minutes. i pushed and poked and..i don’t know. i hope you have any ideas because i think i just ran out.”

hercules was hoping that the gardens could be a place to find some peace and quiet of his own, to clear his head. the few-decade time jump was like a blink of an eye for the immortal, but that did nothing to prevent the headache that came along with adjusting to a time before the 21st century conveniences he’d grown accustomed to. it still astounded him, how quickly the mortal world could change. when he was instead greeted by the demonstration before him, he watched quietly until the unfamiliar girl was finished. “no not at all, sorry if i disturbed you…” the god’s expression mimicked that of a curious child as he nodded past her, to the empty land that had housed her display just moments earlier. “that’s pretty impressive. is it magic?”

crystal stared up at the man. as long as she’s been in the mansion, it was clear that she wasn’t familiar with all of the residents yet. not to mention, the amount of people coming in to help with the sentinels - or even just arriving randomly - increase every day. she gave a smile and shook her head in response. “no. not exactly.” she put her arms back to her sides. “i’m an inhuman and these are the abilities i gained through something called terrigenesis. are you familiar with it?” she asked. crystal knew there were other ‘kinds’ of people inside the mansion ; ones who had abilities like she does but didn’t go through terrigenesis or didn’t call themselves inhumans.

her hair blows back slightly as she watches the girl before her, easily amazed with her actions. it was still amazing to mary-jane that she lived in the same walls as countless heroes, or villains, with amazing abilities. as she’s caught staring at the other she gives a nervous smile, grip tightening on her book. “oh! um..sorry..” she doesn’t exactly know what to say at first, feeling incredibly awkward. “i was just watching, honestly. you can..continue if you want!”

crystal was about to respond, but nodded instead, then turned back to maybe do more. however, she grew conscious of the fact that she didn’t respond, so she turned back again to face the other. she didn’t mind others watching, after all. usually, she would have lockjaw and his barking ‘cheer’ her on, never really having much friends during the earlier part of her life. “i hope i didn’t hurt you somehow. sometimes, i forget how much wind i actually manipulate.”

“ ––– no you may not” tommy said with a smile on his face as the girl seemed to be doing some kind of magic? or pherheps she was just a mutant too; who knew. “what were you doing?” he asked. he himself had found a nice place to run laps around the mansion close to the gardens. so he had simply wanting to see what the vibration in the ground was; the on he could hear. 

she put her arms down, studying the other. they seem harmless so she gave a polite smile. “i was just..training. or well, not training, just..wanting to use my powers for a bit.” she admitted. there really was no ‘ real ‘ reason to use her powers other than she wanted to. though she didn’t know if that sort of thing was okay to do.
