this blog isn't much. it's just about my comfort au about dantdm called the crystalverse and other posts about why he as a character makes me feel happy and safe. i'll post art and writing and stuff, maybe shitposts, merch posts, whatever

my other interests are mario, pokemon gens 1-7, silver age minecraft and obscure/forgotten media

some important things you should know about me before reading my blog

1. not in the fandom

i'm not in the fandom. i'm not in the mcyt fandom, or any fandom. i just like dan. i like the old mod showcase series, it brings me comfort, so i write about it. and i made up an au because it's like a safety net in my life.

2. blog is only about dan

i don't know much about other mcyt series. i know some stampy lore and i like it but that's about it. dsmp, empires smp, hermitcraft, even the ones dan was in like shady oaks and qsmp i just have literally no idea. if it has the letters "smp" in it assume i know nothing lol

3. i respect them even if i don't watch them

i have the full confidence all these series are enjoyable but i would be burnt out if i tried liking them all at the same time. my mind can only take one of these at once. and it's the same series my mind landed on ten years ago. please don't shame/judge me for not liking x, y, or z.

basically it's not mcyt i'm fixated on. it's just one series that happpened to be one. so like...if you asked me about stuff that happens in hermitcraft or a life series or parkour civilisation or smth my mind will go full on BLANK lol sorry.

4. it's the characters

i like dan in a very specific way. so specific that i'm not even sure if i count as a fan/teamtdm member. especially with some other places i've tried posting on and opinions/headcanons i've made i'm probably not. so don't consider me that. just consider me a fan of the characters because that's one thing you can guarantee if nothing else.

5. intent for this blog (why do something so specific?)

to be clear to you, this is a comfort blog. everything i do is for my own comfort more than anything else. it's my special interests and this is my outlet. but if you also like dan (and his solo content specifically) i'll be following you too

also dni: anyone who thinks trayaurus is homophobic (i'll consider you homophobic too. no need to explain) queerphobic people in general, toxic mcyt fans, trump and elon musk supporters (doubt they'd like any part of this anyway) gen ai supporters

i use no gen ai in this blog, all my writing and drawing is pencil to paper, stylus to screen, or fingers to keyboard (for my writing obviously not prompting)

for the past few weeks i've been almost completely happy and satisfied taking a break from social media, but not entirely, and it's because of this account. particularly because of the dantdm fan group i made as a community and the admin rights i have because i was the one who made it.

i love this account, and i love the people who follow me, and i love creating. but like i've mentioned before, actually BEING on social media is a massive drain on me. i don't like the pressure of having to check hundreds of posts and blocking tags because i end up surrounded with the exact opposite of what i want.

so from now on, i've asked @themintman to manage this account for me and the community group i made, because i'd feel terrible if people couldn't come on and get verified. anything that gets posted unless stated otherwise from now on is posted by him, but made by me.

maybe this is a silly system but this is genuinely the only way i can think of to get my content out while not crashing out. and i don't want to choose between people seeing something i'm passionate about and not crashing out. i shouldn't have to.

not sure how much will be posted anyway, but this account isn't abandoned, my au is still ongoing, and i haven't given up on it, or the community. i will still see your posts and if mint hearts it i've seen it too.

he is also managing the community now, i never really wanted to do it, but it's silly to have it request to join if there's nobody that can accept them. idk if mods can but if they can't, well they will now.

after a lot of consideration about my mental health and my relationship with social media, i've decided to go on hiatus from tumblr completely for a few months, possibly the rest of the year. this is not the first post i've made about not enjoying social media, but i've decided to do this while i'm in the right state of mind to do it, rather than for any negative reaction where i feel like i need to isolate myself.

i can assure anyone who reads my blog that i'm totally fine, probably calmer than i have been for the last six months, so i'm doing it now before i lose it, so to speak. the internet tires me out. feeling like i do everything for other people tires me out.

NOTE: if you do not agree with me crossing the au over with mlp, or have particularly strong negative feelings about the character i've replaced the images with and it would enrage you to read about so much as somebody looking at them nicely (you probably know who it is) then don't bother with it. that's my only suggestion. if neither of those things apply, great, stay tuned.

anyway yeah. i love you guys but being online feels like a slog and i'm just sick of the internet
