Chapter one of Omega!Tale is BASICALLY done! All of the text is written, but I'm gonna make a few images like a light novel type of approach. I'm also gonna see if I can get some friends to read it over before I release it for some peer review. (that also gives me time to get started on chapter 2 so it doesn't take months upon months to release after chapter 1)

HOPEFULLY I CAN GIVE SOMETHING BEFORE JANUARY IS OVER

One home is especially lively at the moment. “BACK OFF BITCH! It’s only Christmas eve!” inside the home of Quenya, William is vehemently defending the delicately wrapped gifts under a minimally decorated tree from Adam’s overwhelming curiosity. “C’mon! Just one! JUST ONE!” Adam pleads as he attempts to break through William’s defenses. “BOYS!” Quenya shouts from the kitchen, “William, be nice! And, Adam, we can open ONE early gift once your brother’s and Chara get here!” Quenya finished as she returned to the kitchen to make a suitable dinner for everyone. “Fine…” Adam sighed as he decided to go help Quenya in the kitchen. William sighed as he decided to clean up the house while Quenya and Adam cooked dinner.

After a couple hours, Quenya and Adam finished preparing a lovely dinner consisting of a glazed ham, mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, scalloped potatoes, sautéed green beans, cinnamon butter rolls, and roasted vegetables. William has also finished cleaning the ground floor of the house. Another hour later, at about 5 p.m, Ares, Jacob, and Chara have arrived at the home in fittingly festive attire, greeted by Quenya and the other boys who have now also dressed appropriately.

“Hello!~” Chara waved, holding a single wrapped present under his left arm. “Happy Holiday eve.” Ares says blankly, but with a subtle smile. Jacob follows behind Ares, looking around sporadically. “H-hey guys…” Jacob sputters out as he shuffles into the house after Chara and Ares.

The three are pleased to smell an incredible dinner. The group doesn’t waste time getting sat down for the meal. Food is passed around to everyone at the table, Jacob getting the fullest plate out of everyone. “Thank you, Quenya!” Chara exclaimed, Ares spoke softly, and Jacob attempted to follow along with food stuffed in his mouth. The group chuckled and continued eating while continuing small talk.

They talked about the typical things; William and Adam’s school life, recent events, etc. They also dipped into more unsettling topics, topics like If anyone had noticed extra cameras and royal guard patrols happening more often. Quenya had a response, “Yeah! Ever since Astral stripped me of my position as captain a few years back, I’ve seen patrols almost every day!” Quenya seemed upset and annoyed. Ares stood up, finished with his plate, “I’ve overheard her talking about the recent riots and trying to silence them before they can start, that’s probably what the increasing amount of patrols are about.” Ares commented as he washed his plate and utensils. Everyone sighed, moving on from the topic.

Soon after Ares, everyone managed to finish only a few minutes apart from each other, Jacob being the last to finish. “Let’s open a present now! I need something to please my curiosity!” Adam shouted excitedly. “Fine… Let’s play rock, paper, scissors to decide who gets the honors!” Quenya suggested. “Best of three!” She added.

The ‘bracket’ was quickly put together, excluding Quenya and Ares who had no interest. “What! Mom, you're not gonna participate?” Adam was surprised, “Well, I would, but SOMEONE wanted to make the numbers uneven…” Quenay responded and stared at Ares, who rolled his eyes. Round 1 would be Jacob Vs. Adam and William Vs. Chara.

Jacob and Adam went first. “Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!” Adam threw out paper, beating Jacob’s rock. “1 to me!” Adam shouted excitedly. Jacob seemed content with Adam’s joy. “Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!” game two was the same, Adam with paper and Jacob with rock. “Yeah!” Adam exclaimed. “Congrats…” Jacob softly clapped.

“You're 18 years old…” William sighed with a hand on his face. “Chill, I'm just having fun! ‘Sides, you and Chara also joined!” Adam argued, offended. “Yeah, I can agree that some holiday fun is good and all, but you are way too into this… I guess you'll always be our little brother.” William chuckled. “I only finished developing like- barely a week after you and Jacob! And Ares developed at the same time as me!” Adam fired back. “Yeah, but he actually acts his age.” William's face is now painted with a smug grin.

“Alright you two! Let's just keep this moving!” Quenya spoke up, “William versus Chara, let's get it moving!” Quenya hustled the round along.

“Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!” William threw out scissors, while Chara won with rock. “Hehe~”, Chara chuckled. “Lucky…” William seemed oddly bothered, considering his earlier argument. “I always am~” Chara teased.

“… I’m not gonna ask if there's another meaning there. Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!” William threw out paper, Chara winning with scissors. “Predictable. I know how you think too well!” Chara laughed. “Damnit.” William said, defeated. “Is losing getting to you? Heheh…” Adam chuckled, “Not at all.” William looked away.

“Final round, Adam versus Chara! Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!” Adam threw out paper, winning over Chara’s rock. “No banter? Okay, rock, paper, scissor, shoot!” A repeat, Adam wins with paper, yet again. “Heh! All paper!” Adam exclaimed. Chara doesn’t seem upset in the slightest.

“Alright, congrats Adam! You get the early present.” Quenya handed Adam a long present. “Finally! My curiosity will be satiated!” Adam shouted excitedly as he ripped open the present. Inside was a sword, a blunt training sword to be specific.

“Look at that! Now we have more to train with.” Quenya clapped her hands while donning a wide grin. “Uh-oh… uh, thanks Mom, but um… I gotta gooo… somewhere.” Adam began moving towards the door, before Quenya picked him up by the waist. “I'm not stupid, we're training, NOW.” Quenya declared while carrying Adam to the backyard. “Will! You come too! The rest of ya can also come along!” Quenya added before getting outside. “Shit… Alright!” William shouted back.

“I'll join! Ares, Jacob, you two should too.” Chara offered. “hm… Sure, at least it's something productive.” Ares said while closing his book that he'd been reading. “I guess I'll tag along…” Jacob spoke with a whisper, following everyone else.

The rest of Christmas eve was spent participating in group training. After 3 hours of training, everyone, excluding Quenya, is exhausted and ready to sleep in their respective beds for a proper Christmas the next day.

“I suppose we're heading back to the castle now, have a nice Christmas everyone!~” Chara waved as he corralled Adam and Jacob outside, neither necessarily needing the extra incentive. Adam, Quenya, and Will waved back with varying levels of enthusiasm.

Thus concludes this group's Christmas eve celebrations, tomorrow's Christmas celebrations will be far less eventful. Now the Underground as a whole will fall nearly completely silent for the first night since the previous year's holiday season.

Well, that was... fun? I think? I had fun.

This should have been finished Christmas day or eve, but I'm stupid and didn't plan the end like I would normally, so I spent an extra day just figuring out what was gonna be in the damn present :/

Anyway, I hope y'all had a good Christmas day and expect a little more art and (HOPEFULLY) a better story or two in January!
