a little obsessed with thinking about ohtori in the short period after utena disappears but nobody else has left yet. everyone can tell - even if only subcounciously, even if they don't know what it is - that something has changed. the air feels different, a litttle cooler maybe. the leaves start to turn orange and fall from their branches. time is moving again, and, huh, how did we not notice how long the summer has been? and anthy tries to go about her routine as always, walking the hallways and feeling more like a ghost than usual. she witnesses the ways people have changed and the ways they stay the same. listens to rumors and half-remembered stories. and it's a completely ordinary day when she stops by the rose garden and realizes she hasn't entered it in weeks, and she thinks, i'm ready now. it's time to go.
