âI told you!â He holds his hands on his face, trying to appease the migraine that grew in the form of the Void continually scratching wildly at his mind to be free, pressing at the thin membrane that had been weakened by having just been the Void moments ago. Itâs taking just about everything he had to keep the unearthly creature that lived within him.
âI told you that you didnât want this, that you didnât want the Void! You goddamn moron!â Slowly he lowers himself to the ground, feet finally gracing the concrete beneath him. Parker was lucky, lucky that Bob was in control enough today of all days, to pull the Void back, that in and of itself was a rare occurrence after heâd already lost control.
"I really don't need an "I told you so" right now, asshole," Parker snaps at Bob. It's not smart to be rude to the man who just saved your life, and continues to be the only thing standing between you and a being of unimaginable power that wants to eat you. But, absolutely nothing Parker has done so far could even remotely be classified as "smart".
It's not even the pain that clouds his judgement. Even if he'd gotten out of things without a scratch his response likely would have been the same. It was just easier to respond to stress with aggressiveness than to deal with the helplessness that came with breaking down.
"I don't know if you can see, but your pal just fucking bit me, and I am literally bleeding all over the place.âÂ
