Crutonia turned 3 today! Well, not quite... Crutonia is actually coming up on it’s 33rd birthday, but our getting it out on Tumblr has been fantastic so far!

Exciting news! Crutonia will be at the SPX cartooning and comics arts festival in Bethesda, MD September 17-18th. Look what we snagged at MoCCA Fest this past weekend! It’s the Fall 2016 Sampler from First Second Books!  It features 6 pages of Quirk's Quest - Into the Outlands, as well as excerpts from 7 other fantastic titles that will be released in the fall.

The first printed proofs for “Quirk’s Quest - Into the Outlands” arrived from First Second! They look amazing!!

I have been working on the latest Woody Allen film with my costume designer friend Suzy Benzinger, and in my downtime, have been making these hand painted bookmarks from the scraps of watercolor paper left over from the costume sketches... I plan to laminate them and sell them at future shows, and also make cheaper, mass produced versions.

Deb made a GIF of the big party scene at the end of the book...  These go from my (very loose) pencils through the finished full color layout.  Enjoy!

Just wanted to check in and let you all know we haven't gone away.  We have been preoccupied with a big project coming down the pipe, so haven't had as much time to do new posts.  We have, however been posting some older pictures on the crutonia gallery tumblr, so check it out.  Mostly pictures and info about various creatures featured in our short story "Where Ya Goin' Arkark?"  Enjoy!
